Souths sign 4 young guns, all very good

I reckon Souths have struck gold signing 4 outstanding players in one hit. I reckon all will play some first grade next year and all have the potential to very good. Quite a coup really.

If you havent heard they got

Robert Jennings (who I reckon is amazing)
Tyrell Fuimono (Aus schoolsx2, Junior roos x2, and NYC star last 2 years)
Connor Tracey (been injured but Aus school half, pretty dominant junior)
Braiden Brailey (Penrith Centre been carving up in NYC)

I dont remember a club getting such a bunch of juniors from other clubs all at once, just as they are ready to play NRL, quite a good job really.

Connor Tracey has had two knee reconstructions but a good player.

*Braidon Burns

All good signings, but the pick of the bunch for me is Fuimaono.

Lol definitely Burns, Braiden Bailey is a completely different kid

I love R Jennings, but Tyrell is also a gun.

Cant believe they got all of them!

Good on them. They obviously need to do something to rebuild.

On the other hand, if this was us, people would ask why we were buying "potential" rather than experience.

Robert Jennings is exactly the type of player we should have been all in for. Big, strong and fast outside back. We have absolutely no-one like that, in any grade. Souths wouldn't have paid much for him either.

There's a reason big teams usually trample us. Our backs are tiny. And fairly slow.

In any case we've had a heap of schoolboy and NYC standouts come through the club at the same time and most have never made first grade.

And now Robbie Rochow.

Souths have signed Rochow on 1 year deal.

Exactly, maybe we could get George before souths sign him as well.

Robbie Rochow haha. The Mayor of Plodsville.
You know you are signing quality when the worst club team of the last 15 years is happy to let them walk.
May as well have signed Robbie O'Davis.

Simona, Nofo, Naiqama and Teddy are all great outside backs. Fast, elusive and strong. We just need another winger. If Brooks steps up we could have one of the best back lines in the comp.

We've only been trampled all season out wide by Penrith last week. Yes we've been beaten out wide especially on the right hand side but it's been mostly poor reads.

And that happened when we were down Teddy!

If any so-called better team loses their main attacking player, their attack drops, opposition defense appears better, and of course outcomes change.

We have the smallest and one of the, if not the, slowest backline in the comp. Our outside backs are ok, very good on their day, woeful when it's not, and far too inconsistent for any to be guaranteed starters.

We need size. Even bloody Blake Ayshford could out leap our boys to bat on the ball for the Warriors third try. It's a massive weakness.

And while George Jennings would still be ok, he's a lot smaller than Robert and not too dissimilar to what we already have.

Balmain Boy - I reckon we have one of the best backlines in the comp when it comes to speed or better put speed, size and evasiveness.

Nofo - absolute weapon. Yes he is slowish compared to JAC but he scores tries consistently and makes great hit-ups. He is a tank.
Naiqama - small and not exceptionally fast but he can hit hard and he is elusive. He scores tries consistently and has been great for us.
Simona - reasonably bit, fast and elusive.
JAC - probably the fastest, most elusive winger in the comp.
Moses - the way he is performing now he looks like he will be a top half within the comp. The game winning try he scored yesterday shows how good he is.
Brooks - a good sized halfback who is lighning quick.
Tedesco - possibly the best fullback in the comp. Fast, elusive and with a great skill-set. He can kick and ball play.

Also Ayshford out leaped JAC who would be one of the tallest, fastest wingers in the comp.

I don't see any problem at all with out backline except for the fact that JAC is leaving.

Are you crazy?

We have plenty of pace. Nofo, Kevin N. Simona and JAC who is one of the fastest in the NRL, Brooks, who would be the fastest half with Johnson and Moses, who is really quick. We may lack a bit of size, but it is one of the quickest backlines, if not THE quickest.

And then there is Teddy.
