I had the 'pleasure' of having to sit among the Souths members tonight, on the 25 metre line, courtesy of us being guests of a Souths employee. I have to say that while I'm not easily shocked, offended or surprised at things that sometimes occur at games, it would rate as probably the most unpleasant night I've ever had at the football. I can't honestly find the word to properly describe these pond dwelling miscreants that drape themselves in red and green. These people are living proof that chromosomes don't always sit in a straight line.
When Chris Lawrence was knocked cold the pigs accused him of taking a dive. When he was being escorted from the field, a couple of chain smoking fatties decided he needed a send off, so they walked from 20 rows back, down to the fence to let Lawrence know he was soft and a diver. That scene required two security guards. I don't mind the passion, I don't mind the support, I don't mind the noise, but mate I do mind this kind of idiocy, particularly when they have next to no understanding of what's actually going on in a game and even less knowledge of the rules.
