Souths

"Did being too big and too strong get them the first five penalties"

Yep

Happy to agree with you if you could explain your reasoning .
'Yep' is just a little short of an explanation.

You can look at little seperate isolated incidents and define them for what they are- holding down in the tackle, hand on the ball - maybe an offside….I conced possibly a few panaltyu werent directly ruck related - my memory is that good and I only watched it once.....but its clear we were dominated - the bigger picture is we lost the ruck pure and simple, to try and limit their momentum we need to resort to ill discipline wihch costs possesion and you cant score without a ball
Look at the big picture
Anasta admitted as much in the presseer

The Roosters were their typical ill disciplined selves last night Souths were good ,Inglis had a huge night

Funnily enough the Rorters forwards seemed to be winning the ruck for the first 10-15 minutes and then Souths stepped it up

Souths are the team to beat this year.

Huge side with so much talent and they have depth as well.

They still have Matt King and Luke Burgess to come back into the team.

GI and Sutton are big enough to play in the pack.

Reynolds and GI is the key to their success this year and they won't lose many players to origin given they have lots of Poms and Kiwis.

Agreed, they were only just starting to dominate late last year. Now with a full year ahead of them, clean slate starting strong, I can only imagine what we will be up against
