39th minute Dragons get half a sniff and go down the touchline and its all over.

Benji is causing havoc in that last 20 going wide and had he had some ball runners who could actually hit the ball at pace we might of gone a bit better.

And dont tell me Ayshford is fast. Theres a difference between running 100m at a reasonable time and having the ability to run hard with the ball. Neither Ayshford, Brown, Ryan have it. Utai might, but never gets a sniff.

The Tigers backline has been hurting since Lawrence and Tuqiri have been injured for several reasons:

1\. They offer genuine pace
2\. They offer good size
3\. They both read the game well and are excellent finishers.

Not much can be done about it though. Tuqiri will hopefully be back next week.

So, so true.

Utai, Brown and Ryan could all be given a 15 meter head start and they wouldn't have scored that try Morris scored.

Agree throw a youngster on the wing to replace Utai next week. Thats if Utai is unfit which I'm guessing he is :frowning:

Also who would you choose for a run on the wing next week? I would give koriobete a go, but I'm thinking Sheens will just do the old Sheens Shuffle and disrupt the back line again.

Yep your right. This team is close and I have no problems with Ayshford but atm we have too many slow players in our backline.

One thing on todays game we get our full squad back we will eat the dragons there not that good ,to come so close with the players is a credit to the boys but we do lack speed in the centers

Sheens will pump for experience over pace every time and at present what we gain in one hand we are loosing out double on the other. We have the no1 creative player in the world but he has little or no go to men. Lotte and Rowdy make a big difference with their power more than pace. We need some raw speed both in attack and defense. Utai Brown Aysford all keep getting caught out for pace.
