Nathan Cleary just nails the moments 95% of the times…his 2pt FG last night a great example….Brooks on the other hand, can’t even put someone into a hole…and fails to nail the moments 95% of the times…both players are on $1m+…a Great example of why we are a rabible of a club
Yes true but brooks is backended, and Cleary took less to stay with his mates. He will be on 1.5 million next contract easily, brooks won’t be on half that!

Munster and Nathan did some Luke Brooks things like getting tackled on the last and don't kill it every play. No half does. Problem with our half they lack the polish and execution to nail down at least a few key moments.

For example Panthers were low scoring but Nathan did that nice pass to Hosking and they scored. Our halves literally did not execute one try.

Munster was pretty quite but did that nice run to score. Again our halves basically defended the whole game.

They need to create more than that including the fullback

Bateman has to be lock doesn't he. How good did he look when he went into the middle.

Massive fan of Weekes, would love to sign him.

Maybe raw talent like Weeks and Welsby led around by Api and a solid half in Sezer is the go. I'm up for it.
Bateman at 13 100%. Blore is wasted on the bench, put pole in the prop rotation with offa.

100%. I watched Adam Reynolds stuff up twice last night ala Brooks. The thing is he also comes up with a pearler of a play to win the game and nails the conversion.

Mosses had A Johns assist in his development at Parra , why haven’t we tried to get outside help for him .
Our current coaches are not helping his game we need outside fresh advise and on field training for him and Wakeman .
Laurie Daley , Cooper Cronk , Type
2 x 1/2 days a week training for 6 weeks to ram some info home
Brooks kicking game is crap , His attack is predictable now and needs some adjustments , Wakeman gets same training

Wonder how , if we let Brooks go and AD
Tried Hastings / Madden , would we still be in the same position

No coach was worth sacking for last years squad - that is why our culture stinks and the same old crap is served up. We reward losers by paying them well to lose and not be held accountable. You will see most of our ex players performing better elsewhere because of the standards set by the team mates and onfield leaders.
Maguire failed with results because he couldn't shift the culture that the powers that be keep backing - under performing players - the very reason why the ones that want better move on and good ones we are trying to attract see us as a good option to bump up their contract value.

Yeah… Sheens can’t coach. Nor can Cleary. Or Maguire. We just need to right coach to unlock Brooks’ untapped talent.
As for Brooks, Sheens said he and assistant Benji Marshall had enjoyed working with him, but stopped short of declaring they would be the pair to finally unlock his full potential.

“Ask me that question in a month’s time or during the season,” Sheens said.

Here's something from left field.
None of our halves straighten, hit the inside shoulder of a defender getting them to turn in which opens up the outside. Wakeham looked like doing it a couple of times tonight but did it a half step too slow. He could work into it and improve. Brooks and Doueihi don't challenge the inside shoulder of the defence at all, so they just slide. We never look like stripping the edge bare because if this.

So here is the left field suggestion, Wakeham 7 and Matamua 6.

Looks awful on paper, but they are the 2 best players we have at doing the above. Matamua is like Shuster, played juniors as 6.

I'm desperate.
Agree about the inside shoulder bit, not too sure about Matamua at 6 - but hey we have to think outside the square.

Fair dinkum how patient are we going to be with Brooks. We should have moved him on years ago!
