Standing Room Only??

Um, what would they say?
They would limit the crowd to the quoted maximum crowd capacity which for Campbelltown I believe is 17,500 but I stand to be corrected if anyone knows if that is still the current limit.

Due to crowd death tragedies overseas, including England & Scotland, safety officials don't look too kindly upon venues allowing over crowding.

I'd fully support the club making both hills (safely) standing only to sell more tickets and boost the atmosphere. If you want to sit down for 80 minutes you can get seats in one of the grandstands. It's a good problem to have. Especially given that more people from Campbelltown are going to want to attend the match after what happened last Sunday.

Its held 20k in the past.. but can understand having the attendance capacity slightly under that. In any case, next to zero chance of a terrace crush like you'd see in the UK at the height of hooliganism, for a variety of reasons.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see the place packed to the rafters & then some, but I remember at Leichhardt they were forced to limit the number & had to turn people away on at least one, possibly more games in the last year or two.

Crowd safety was cited at least at the one game that I remember, people were saying 3 to 5 thousand got turned away. They had pre sold most of the tickets leaving only 1000 or so for game day. Apparently people managed to sneak in, with the 17 odd thousand official crowd figures it was more realistically closer to 20,000.
