Start on monday night AGAIN

And Manly's first game without Orford steering them around. Will take them a while to click.
Tigers by 24.

 I Agree 100%

And there you have the earliest pick the margin on record…......

Score Tommy???

I'd rather not have Monday night ever, but would especially hate to have Monday night in round 1\. It just puts us a step behind everyone else in the comp, with the short turnaround the following week…

2010 will be the 4th year of a 5 year deal for Monday night games. I dont think we'll see it going anywhere. The TV ratings for Fox are too good (probably because it's the only game on at that time) and if I remember correctly it's usually the game with most money on it at the TAB.

But yeah, 2xFriday, 3xSaturday (maybe change the 5.30 game, such an odd time to watch the footy) & 3xSunday (2pm-Ch9 Live, 3pm-Fox Live, 4pm-Ch9 Live) would suit well I think. Ch 9 already do a League double header on Sundays by showing a Super League game at 2pm so I dont see why they couldnt replicate what they do on Friday nights.

But back to the draw, I think it's gonna be a tough open to 2010 for the team, 3 games in 11 days then the next two games are interstate, but fortunately it wont be freezing in Canberra.

There's no way they will get rid of Monday Night Football. It rates too well on tv. It's here to stay! \(^-^)/

Monday and Friday night games at the SFS isn't too bad for me. I just walk there from work.

That wouldn't be good because you wouldn't be able to watch all 3 games. :frowning: I doubt they'd do that.

Yep…..........get rid of 1 Friday night game to 3pm Saturday....next gamekicks off 5.30 then 7,30.

The other Sat night game to 2 pm...Sunday followed by 4 pm kick off live amd a 6.30 Sunday night twilight game after Daylight saving is introduced all year round...........

Maybe 2pm, 4pm, 7pm then, Ch 9 get the first two and Fox get the 7pm one … basically only change to the schedule is Monday game moved to same time on Sunday.

I wouldn't mind a 3pm game on Saturday but I don't think they will do it because alot of people that play Rugby League on Saturdays will wont be able to watch it.

Yeah I don't mind it either

So after waiting all off-season we don't get to see the boys run out until Monday is going to be torture.
Get rid of MNF and bring on 2010!

lol yeh Monday at work and all afternoon is gunna drag but it will be worth it when we belt manly (fingures crossed)

I rekon MNF is worse for the supporters in Round 1 because there is all the excitement of the new season starting you go have a few beers with mates at the pub & they're teams go around then have to go back to bloody work before you even get to see your own team kick a footy in anger… bloody sucks

although Monday night isn't great - i'll be there! First game of one of the most anticipated seasons i can remember.

Also, being Round 1 in early march it will still be daylight savings and quite warm. With the 7pm kick-off it will probably be daylight for the first half. I'll be taking the kids with me.

I think we will get a pretty good crowd to this game unless the weather is bad.
