Starting Lineup (Barring Injuries)

would love to see seumanfagai and naiyaravaro, given a go to see if they can stand up to the NRL. With there size it would great to have them in the top 17.

"keep us rolling forward'' infers the starting pack will begin the ''rolling forward''
Its very very very light
It dont matter how its shuffled or packaged, were light in the forwards

Do you mean light as in KILOS or light as in not that many props?

Tigers may not have the biggest pack but I dont think thats an issue. Canberra have a a pretty big pack, So do the Warriors. That got them nowhere.

It comes down to skill level.

size is not everything , agresive hard hitting players are more dangerous , gavet type players , no fear

I would not leave Pettybourne or Thompson out of that category either,

There won't be too many surprises for round 1, they'll get their chance throughout the year.

1\. Moltzen
2\. Koroibete
3\. Ayshford
4\. Lawrence
5\. Tuquiri
6\. Marshall
7\. Miller
8\. Woods
9\. Farah
10\. Galloway
11\. Blair
12\. Fulton
13\. Anasta

14\. Murdoch masila
13\. Pettybourne
14\. Thompson
15\. Gavet

Moltzen is a real strike weapon and just needs to improve under the highball and attack the footy. Outside of this (and definitely needs BIG improvement) he is a quality fullback

Tuquiri has some strength in this area too, which is why I've got him over Utai

I think Gavet will get first crack in the front row rotation and will be big for us this year.

Fulton will fill the utility role and Anasta can cover the halves. This gives us a big, strong, aggressive and mobile bench which could really unsettle some quality sides

Correct Moltzen needs to improve under the high ball and attack the footy and back up and set up plays and do all the other things a normal fullback does but besides that his Great.

Tuquiri No not over Utai and Gavet is injured so more thinking required there.

Right now I would go for

1\. Tedesco/Nofoaluama
2\. Koroibete
3\. Lawrence
4\. Ayshford/Simona
5\. Tuqiri
6\. Marshall
7\. Miller
8\. Woods
9\. Farah
10\. BMM
11\. Fulton
12\. Pettybourne
13\. Anasta

14\. Naiyaravaro
15\. Blair
16\. Galloway
17\. Seumanufagai

Okay, first post of the year for me, this team has probably already been thrown up but here goes anyway!

1\. Ted (if fit, otherwise Moltz)
2\. Koro
3\. Aysh
4\. Lawr
5\. Utai
6\. Benj
7\. Miller
8\. Woods
9\. Farah
10\. Keithy
11\. Blair
12\. Fulton
13\. Anasta

14\. BMM
15\. Bell
16\. Pettybourne
18\. Sironen (if a back got injured mid game, he could play centre just to get us through the game, i think hes fast enough etc)

19\. Simona

(Gavet to replace Bell possibly once fit?)
(Tedesco is our future fullback, once fit, get him in and bring him upto speed even if it means struggling for a few weeks)

:crazy Even the Sheenius wouldn't pick this side (well not Round 1 anyway)

Having a look at the training videos on the Wests Tigers website looks like Potter has decided on his top team as

1\. Moltzen
2\. Koroibete
3\. Ayshford
4\. Lawrence
5\. Utai
6\. Marshall
7\. Miller
8\. Woods
9\. Farah
10\. Galloway
11\. Blair
12\. Fulton
13\. Anasta

Irvine, this seems a pretty good team to me. I can't see to much wrong with it and am sure that Mick Potter will chop and change positions and players a few times before the season actually starts. Hopefully injuries won't be the reason for the changes this year. Is Lote going to sign again? leaving it a bit late if he is. I was reading somewhere that Lote is helping Koroibete with speaking English, and helping the other players to understand him so maybe this is a reason to keep him around at least for another year until Koroibete finds his feet.

All these forwards are first grade proven and IMO will be in our first game of the season team after the trials and barring injuries: Anasta, Bell, Blair, BMM, Farah, Fulton, Galloway, Pettyborne, and Woods. For the last vacant position I see room for one more sizeable forward because both Anasta and Fulton are utility player.

Fairly sensible line-up for round 1\. Hoping to see some more chop and change throughout the season to trial some other guys.
Unsure of the bench at the stage, not sure who Mick will choose

Smallest back row in the NRL with that side

My line up for Round 1 at this stage would be

1\. Tedesco
2\. Koribete
3\. Lawrence
4\. Ashford
5\. Utai
6\. Marshall
7\. Miller
8\. Galloway
9\. Farah
10\. Woods
11\. Murdoch-Masilla
12\. Fulton
13\. Anasta

14\. Pettybourne
15\. Blair
16\. Moltzen
17 Bell

* sorry cant bring myself to pick Lote. Utai deserves it more. A month in state cup for Lote and show us you can still play
* Cant have a back row of anasta-fulton-blair. too small too similar not enough power. One has to go to the bench and for me its blair was horrible last year
* Tedesco is just better then moltzen for me, sorry dont care about easing him in or whatever.
* Ashford a month to prove he still wants it.
* numbers 6 to 10 looks very strong and balanced
* happy with bit more pace in the backline
* Bench looks ok, maybe a quality 3rd prop short,
