State of Origin 2025

^I'm really happy origin is over
My view is NRL is tribal where everyone follows their club and that club for most is the one their family has always followed .
Many years ago Ch 9 created the state against state ,mate against mate and most importantly hate against hate . This is clever classic marketing which over time dramatically increases ratings and step by step millions jump on the bandwagon .Fox even dedicate to pushing this same agenda even with no
LIVE broadcast rights .
For me I've never cared that much as both sides are Australia !
I don't hate Queensland !
If its Australia playing another country then that's different
Like in cricket I'm passionate about us winning but not greatly concerned who wins the Sheffield Sheild
Now we can get back to what really matters to me the Wests Tigers
 
I was at the game and it was absolutely awful viewing. Don’t see as much as you do on tv but QLD were fast, up in our faces and had answers for just about everything we threw at them.

I can’t remember an origin game feeling so dull and non competitive … the 24-12 score line was generous to us.

I feel the best origin games happen when both sides are equally committed and it becomes a war of attrition. Can’t help thinking QLD just wanted it more for their skipper.
 
Kimmorley is the only coach who could give lessons to Daley in how NOT to coach.He has always been poor and this year he seems to have gone backwards.

I was there as well.
The things you do see that you don’t on TV are those things that happen off the ball.
Especially defence formations and offsides.
Agree… not only the dullest Origin but also one of the dullest games I’ve ever been to.

Bit like that Gallen dickhead. I heard him before game 2 and he couldn't see how qld could possibly win. What a moron

It played out exactly like that on the telly...the game was boring. Maybe less boring if your a qld'er but ergh i was on holidays on the gold coast and thursday morning all the qld jerseys walking about the resort , grinning and smug. Ahh well. Back to the great WT!!
