State of Origin 2026

Look folks … Klein made it about him as he has done plenty of times in the past ..: apparently the bunker was trying to talk him out of the send off … but he wouldn’t have a bar of it …😂

He is the worst referee I have ever seen … normally his MO is to just referee one side out of the contest with a 10-0 penalty count at half time ..: but that approach was a bit too subtle for him last night …

He was sent for direct contact to the head with his shoulder , and ref also said no attempt at a tackle , he will get 4 more weeks
Lol - 4 weeks - how about just a fine. Just because Klein thought it was direct contact to the head doesn't mean it was. Initial contact was a head clash. Yes it was a negligent tackle and deserved to be put on report and 10 in the bin but it wasn' t a deliberate shoulder to the head that the cheat Klein marched him for.

3 things (I’m a NSW supporter btw)

1. Qld win without send off 99.9999%…. If you argue against… it took NSW a freak bomb catch with 1 min to go to win

2. Daley is a terrible coach. Absolutely horrible. His press conference was amateur, naive and delusional. Saying that the send over won’t become part of the narrative is delusional. You only won bc of it. They played the worst 60mins of origin footy I’ve seen

3. NSW team look like a bunch of individual players, who think they’re elite, picked from 15 teams, who don’t know each other…. Qld look like mates…. That’s the difference

4. Just bc I thought of it… cleary didn’t do anything until the send off. Munster, walker, KP - all killing him. Without the send off both him and Daley would’ve been crucified absolutely crucified in the media today saying they shouldn’t be picked for game two…. NSW annoy me so much the arrogance to not concede they only won bc of the send off…. Billy slater and musters press conference so much more accurate, real, humble, and honest.

I hope they smash NSW next game so NSW actually get a dose of reality
The send off had a massive impact no doubt but I’ll add if NsW werent ripped off with Murray’s no try things may have been different too…

Cleary’s 40/20 was pure class and turned the match when it mattered.

Now I completely agree with Daley as coach. It’s why agree with point 3. From his pressers to his selections and general game plan and motivating his players, NSW are at a massive disadvantage with him being coach. Qld were up for it with their relentless linespeed. NSW were holding off and plodding around. Without some luck and individual brilliance we’d be staring down the barrel of a 3 nil whitewash.

It was Chris Butler. I wouldn't listen to that guy either. It still amazes me he gets a gig.

Shoulder to head you say 🤔

Different angles show different things. The one posted on here by @Craegus from behind the play clearly shows the shoulder contacting the head aswell. Ponga left himself open to the send off because he tucked his arm in instead of wrapping. Whether he was bracing for impact or trying to create more force it's been clear for a couple of years now the onus is on the defender to not contact the head.
I would have the shits if it was a NSW player that was sent off, but at the end of the day Ponga had a mile of time to sum it up and his poor technique led to the outcome.

I reckon the turning point was Qld kicking a penalty goal when they could have kept their foot on NSW's throat. It's super common for a team kick a penalty goal and then the opposition scores the next try, and it happened again.

Lol all these Queenslanders coming out saying NSW got lucky.

Murrays was a try and so was Strange's first one. Harry wasn't in the defensive line, he was cover tackling and ran into Olakuatu. Bs call.

If those two on technicality were no tries than KP was fair too.

It all balanced out at the end and NSW won the 50-50 contests and the clutch plays by Teddy and Cleary.

NSW scores or almost scored each time they were near the try line. Qld has a lot to work on.

But... Klein will get picked again to make sure Qld wins the second game, because NRL needs to make sure there is a decider.
Surely you conclusion contradicts your main point.

What happened to the toads vs cockroaches?

Why don’t we use those mascots anymore, are the still known by them, or were they ever? Was it just an advertising campaign or was it lost during the super league wars?

No google or AI allowed….

Worse than Barry Gomersel ?? Excuse my spelling

Worse than Barry Gomersel ?? Excuse my spelling

Yes ..but Barry is probably next worse …

Klein has no bias to one side …his bias is to himself getting the attention … he is just as likely to carve up NSW the next time …Im sure he will be back with the whistle … for some reason he continues to be picked …they must love the controversy

If Ponga wasn't sent off then Teddy wouldn't have caught the ball - he would have received a kick in the face. He was doing a Slateresque take.

Anyway, we were lucky to win that game, Blues have a few players (mentioned in a few of the posts here) that should not be playing in the side.
