He had made up his mind he was going. No Tiger heart, just going through the motions.
He had to go for everyone's sake. Had the ability, just lacked the effort here.
Agree with everything you've said. His final season here he wasn't playing with any heart. I'm not really dirty on the club for not being able to keep him. They tried. (There is the argument that we failed to create an environment he wanted to be a part of but that's a whole other argument).
For these reasons I see why people don't like the bloke and yes, it was better for all concerned he left. Just think bagging him now when he is clearly playing very well is petty.

I can only go on what I see of the performances to date …
Imo our back row has looked excellent, arguably the best if not amongst the best. Not convinced Samuela can keep it up for a full season (mostly just due to age and he hasn't as of yet, not an ability issue and they haven't really been tested defensively yet).
I've seen nothing from our prop rotation to rate them highly. Cowboys when they held the ball were making 70m in a set and it was Souths errors more than our go forward or defence that kept us camped in their end. Not saying our middles have been bad by any means, they just haven't yet actually been good.

I think Sione has been playing great and May is still May,…if not at his absolute best … I also group Twal with these other guys in the middle and he has been fantastic..I would start Sione next week..Pole off the bench

Some players you can cop leaving greg, but him saying he loved the club and wanted to be captain one day, then played like a pussycat in his last year, then tried to rub it in by talking up the difference at the Storm it upset a lot of supporters.

Personally, couldn't give a rats about him happy with who we have now but can understand why some have long memories.

I hear you …he is a good player now though …that preferred to move interstate for less money than we offered … 😑
