STOP BLAMING OUR YOUNG PLAYERS

It, not a good situation to blood these guys …getting a hiding every week, but Nofo was a highlite ,teddy getting more confidence, Koro learning his craft and a few in the pack toughing it out. We all see who the culprits are!

I dont see many blaming the young kids, if anything like myself i see people asking for more of the kids to get a go.
would rather see us get flogged with a team of kids learning there way than have the bunch of no hopers running a round calling themselfs 1st graders.

I have constantly been reading things like….

Too many injuries. Nothing to do with it.

Too many young kids in the side. All played better than their so called leaders.

Not talking about on this forum but from general media

No one is blaming the young players individually or alone -the issue is their is too many of them in the one side. Also we have some poor performers (mainly Blair) and are missing lots of players through injury. Of course injuries make a huge difference otherwise why would you have a salary cap. Melbourne lost just one player billy slater last year and lost 5 in a row

I think the blame isn't so much on the youngsters but the team as a whole. We need to understand that with so many youngsters in that team, we're on a hiding to nothing. These beatings will continue until we get some talent and experience back. I look at these young guys and think 2 things.

1\. They need to experience first grade in order to develop and improve. What they experience here is what they will absorb and hopefully apply to their development. This takes time though. Not 2 games or 4 games or even 8 games. It could take 12 months to see a noticeable improvement.

2\. The experienced players are key, not only to the team's success but also to the development of the young guys on the field. Their experience in communication, doing the little things, directing the side around and getting involved are things the youngsters still lack at this point and you hope that they are absorbing the things they are seeing. It's one of the reasons we are doing so bad right now. There are too many youngsters learning on the run.

i dont think the result would have been too different even if we were at full strength given the way souths have been playing. Its not the ideal way to blood these young guys but it just may produce a gem or 2\. Young players relishing the challange and making the most of their chances….....lets look at some possible positives......

The only one blaming the young guys is CK…his still pushing the Moltzen barrow.

Most of us understand the situation and would prefer a young guy doing his best then the overpaid and average senior players we have masquerading as first graders.
