Storm players

well with the prize money they have to give back, plus the fine, and the fact that they need to reduce the cap by 700 large next year, no doubt several players will be let go. Who would like to see at the tigers?

I would say hiyo to either of Lima, Cronk, Slater, possibly in that order

I think at least 2 of Inglis, Slater, Cronk and Smith will leave.

I just don't get how their squad is weaker this year than it has been in the previous 5 years, yet they be $700,000 over. Makes no sense!

Lets be honest we are not going to sign a marquee player. We have a big chunk of cap tied up in our own marquee players.

A good toiler would be nice. A forward with a real motor.

As for how they are so far over this season perhaps backloading backroom deals were part of it as well

And here I was thinking you have 4 marquee players in any one year … Brisbane, Storm ... would love to know where our cap is allocated! But SMEG your right our pack needs the $$$ spend

I think Bellamy will go in within a week and other players will follow.

greed and deciet has led to the down fall of the storm.
no sympathy should be given, you just never know if the players were aware of situation. :unamused:
depends on who wants to come here, a forward or a halfback.
either one would be good.
Cronk to work wonders with Benji, or a hard headed forward, who does not back down.

I think we will be very tight when it comes to cap space for the next few years, so really cant see any Storm players heading our way

I think being sacked will being the least of their problems. Having the NRL deregister them and the tax office come after them will be their biggest concerns now.

Makes perfect sense.

In their own minds, Cronk, Slater, Inglis and Smith are 500k a year players with Hoffman and Blair being 350k a year players….

Melbourne's office obviously thought this, as well.

When 6 players are taking up 2.7 mil of a 4.7 mil cap, it's easy to see how they're over the limit.
