Storm, Rabbits & Dogs

With the playing rosters of the Storm, Rabbits & Dogs (when they get back Kasiano, Pritchard, Barba and Graham) looking tough, balanced and well coached. Are there any teams in which anyone believes can emerge to compete against these three this year?

I would love to see the Tigers emerge (early signs aren't good), but I reckon Benji has to have a lot of MOM performances this season for that to happen and he has not been consistant enough for the past few years for that to happen. The loss of Ellis on the fringes is a big hole to fill but Pettybourne could play that role effectively. I hope Jacob Miller starts to find his feet and feel more comfortable at NRL level. This could change the balance and dynamic of the team and free up Benji and Robbie. Hopefully our season starts with a big win over the panthers at Ctown!

True to me dogs had there year teams know what to do in defence and they just read there plays easily now and they look so basic this year i know they have players out but they can still play better haha.

especially when they get rest of their squad back. Play with fire you'll get burnt. Hasler suffers no fools. Hasn't Reynolds stood up tigersrule4life thus far?

I have to question Cowboys ability to play in Sydney & overcome.
Melbourne can do it but the cowboys on a cold Sydney night?

Wests tigers would look much better and be so much more competitive with Reynolds annd Merrin instead of Benji and blair. And we'd have some coin left over too.

Are you living in the past???
Benji who?
His been out of form for nearly two years and honestly looks like he never will get back to how he was before.
Sick of the fantasy land when us the fans and club realise his lost his mojo then we can move on…. I beleive marshall got rid of sheens as exactly how sheens said, farah had to side with benji or risk another team split and also habiby revenge regarding the aust. Team past selection sagas...,

I'd add Manly to those 3, Nate. They were very good in their opening match and had a few missing as well. North Queensland certainly have the roster on paper, but they tend to fade away come finals time. If they can learn to consistently play to their potential, they will certainly be a threat. Cronulla also has the roster to bother these team, but all the uncertainty surrounding the club will make it tough for them, I reckon.

As far as WT is concerned…well, unless there is a rapture, some shift in the cosmos or something just as dramatic that tilts Heaven in their favour, I don't hold out much hope for them this season, I'm afraid.

We need to worry A TEAM in the comp first before we are considered top 8 let alone top 4
I don't think we'll come last (Warriors/Dragons) but I have a feeling Sunday will give us a better indication where we stand. If we beat Penrith then that would indicate we have POTENTIAL to end in the middle of the comp (I.e 7th to 10th)

Cowboys are the team to beat in my opinion, plenty of strike power in the backline, a very strong forward pack, impact of the bench being guided around the park by one of the most lethal attacking players of all time.

yeh cowboys to me as well, but if thurston goes down, they would be a myth.

imo this will be the top 8: storm, dogs, cowboys, rabbits, manly, broncs and 2 of panthers/knights/roosters/sharks

other teams will find it EXTREMELY hard to beat these teams.

The Rabbitohs and Storm look fantastic so far but I think Manly and the Cowboys can rival them. Both of those teams have looked great and have the personnel to challenge for a title. I didn't think Manly would be as good as they have been but they have proved me wrong so far. I don't think the Dogs will make the top four though. I realise that they don't have their best team on the field due to injury and suspension but they just don't seem to be playing as well as last year. I might be wrong when they do get all their players back but I still think they will struggle to compete with the top teams. I'm predicting them to make the eight fairly comfortably though.
