i know you are all angry, but seriously - how do you make it fair for the teams they played in the first 6 rounds??

this is what would happen if we just give everyone 2pts from round 7 and drop the storm from the comp:

1\. Teams that play them twice, gain 4pts.
2\. All the teams in the first 6 rounds (Sharks, Knights, Panthers, Dragons, Titans, Manly) had to actually earn their points, thus, making it unfair on them when everyone else is getting the default points.

and this is what would happen if they drop their roster to fit under the cap:

1\. The first 6 teams from rounds 1-6 played illegal players, everyone else gets a softer team, thus, being unfair to the teams in rounds 1-6.

every scenario i can think of, comes back to the first 6 rounds already played. the only way to make this fair across the board for everyone, is to continue playing the same illegal team, without them accruing points (because they are illegal).

the only ones missing out are the storm - and rightly so.

Gallop has to put his pride on the shelf and admit he made a hasty decision and stuffed up and fix this right away. I
mo he is punishing every other team that plays the Storm for the rest of the season.
Gallop be a man admit you are wrong make them adjust there team until they are under the cap then make them start from 0 and let them gain points, if they are still good enough to make the semis and win the comp after that then they deserve it. It's the only solution.
The way it is now is a joke and every team that gets beaten by them while they are fielding this team should absolutely blow up and complain to the NRL. Imo opinion if Gallop doesn't change his decision he has destroyed this season because every week teams are going to be asking why are they still allowed to field this side and effect my teams chances of making the finals. I know if they beat the Tigers and we miss the 8 by two points i'll give up on this game and thats the honest truth.

And just how do you do that? It sounds nice and simple and a way forward, but it's not. Taking an across the board pay cut is not fair - the team as is should not be together.
Do you off-load a few of players? where do they go? who else (with money) has room under the cap?
or, do you just say Cameron Smith, Billy Slater you sit the year out and the rest will play on.
There just doesn't seem to be a fair way to do it.

And, personally I want my turn to yell CHEATS when they play at Leichhardt. The only alternative I'd be happy with is News pulling the plug and the team folding - i'm yet to fully understand why they appear to be prepared to throw more money at the Storm to keep them afloat.

Look i don't know how you get them under and like you said pay cuts are not an option it's hard to do it and not punish individual players, maybe Finch and Lima can go for a start because Finch obviously went there when they were already over and Lima was being shopped around but somehow they came up with more money (i wonder how that happened) but then again if these guys didn't know it would be unfair on them to move on to wherever.
Gallop and his crew have to find a solution because at the moment they are still fielding and illegal side and taking competition points away from legit teams and it is going to get nasty the more games they win, can you imagine if they go on a 10 game winning streak with this team what will happen.
As for you wanting your chance at yelling Cheats, why take it out on the players if apparently they had no clue, and if you get to call them cheats and they cane us, will you feel any better? I'm telling you now a team is going to miss out on the 8 because an illegal Melbourne Storm side beat them i can't see how that is punishing the Storm they should not have the opportunity to stop other teams from making the 8 with the very team that this whole scandal is about. It's like letting a swimmer take performance enhancing drugs and say to him and the other athletes if he wins it doesn't count and he can't receive a medal but if he finishes in front of you you can win a medal either.

So you would rather it be unfair for the teams that have to play them from round 7-26?
The illegal team is the whole point of this!!!! how in the world are they still allowed to field this team gaining no points or not but still effecting the chances of every other team that plays them is astounding.

Answer this question why did Melbourne get their premierships stripped, have to pay back money they got for winning them, cop a $500,000 fine and have all their points stripped. Oh Oh i know BECAUSE THEY RORTED THE SALARY CAP AND FIELDED AN ILLEGAL TEAM FOR 5 YEARS!!!!!! And guess what? THEY STILL ARE!!!!!! and not only that but also rorting every other team in the comp in the mean time.

See you still don't get it do you, they do get something for it, the chance to take two points from us or any other side and the chance to stop us or any side making the 8 all while fielding the same team they got busted for.

You seem to be missing the point that the Storm cheated.....Are reportably 700K over the cap for this year and 1.2mill for next year.......You would have to come up with a team of Cammy, Billy, Cronk and Inglis lose the rest and replace them with their NYC team....and they would still be over most likely....

No that is my point they cheated but are being allowed to continue cheating for the rest of the season regardless of them getting the 2 points. Every other club is being punished for 5 crooks and Gallops decision to allow the same side to be fielded for the remainder of the season.

Every other side if facing the same circumstance as the teams who have already played them.

it is not a perfect situation but better than any situation which would allow them to earn any points. Some teams have to play them twice. Thats the luck of the draw based on where the club finished last season

:astonished: I thought I was the only person who saw this. People going on about a round 25 match between us and them going to cost us a finals spot. EVERYONE plays them. EVERYONE has a chance to beat them. We have 24 games, plenty of chances to win games, if we miss the finals it will be because of more than one game.

As for last nights game. The Warriors wouldn't have beaten anyone tonight, they were dreadful. Melbourne were fielding a depleted side and still wiped the floor with them.
