It’s just called Les Norton. It seems they made a one off show with one season.
They may have crammed a couple of books into the one storyline.
He’s a Kings Cross Doorman who gets caught up in the world of illegal gambling and human trafficking by becoming enemies with a local madame who is trying to be kingpin. His workmates include the boss of the Cross a woman running an illegal casino and a hitman.
Meanwhile, he becomes the face of a beer company after being caught on tape in a wild bar room brawl with some concreters, has to deal with a family of brothers from back in QLD who are trying to kill him, has a relationship with an undercover copper who is using him for info on murders committed by his workmates, that he gets dragged into helping and he gets a run with the Roosters in the NSWRL playing alongside Ian Roberts against Balmain.

Yes ,,finished Mobland and would need another series to conclude how the family dynamics restructure after the main characters are imprisoned..
Helen Mirren is the ruthless family matriach who causes all sorts of mayhem .
Ive also finished 1923 where Helen Mirren is the loving, nurturing matriach who holds the family together.
She's versatile and pretty good in both roles.
As for mobland ,its goodish and worth a look.

MobLand was excellent, until it wasnt.
I didnt like the finale....way too many conveniences and they wasted the talents of Geoff Bell (Ritchie) who always plays ferocious characters. He was far too easily dealt with for a guy who was so good at what he did.
Ill watch season 2 as the cast is really good, but the writers need to do better than what they came up with at the end there.

Totally agree, but plenty lo like and yes Im looking forward to Season 2.
