Finished Squid Game a week ago, pretty good series. Picked a few things in the ending, didn't pick others. Won't say what as I don't want to spoil it for anyone who is yet to watch.

In a similar line, started Alice in Borderland. Japanese death-game type series. It's not a carbon copy of Squid Game if anyone is thinking that. The similarities begin and end in that they revolve around games.

Squid Game is an identical copy of Battle Royale. Hunger games copied Battle Royale. Loved Battle Royale when it first came out. Director has said he copied battle Royale

I've not seen/read Battle Royale. I don't think Squid Game and Hunger Games are anything alike.

Haven’t seen hunger games but friends told me it’s same ideas as BR.
Some films just leave an impression on you because of the depth of their ideas like Irrevisible (French); Yu Tu Mama Tambien; Ken Park; Battle Royal etc

I've heard many people make the comparison between Hunger Games and Battle Royale. I know the basic plot of Battle Royale, and it's in line with the Hunger Games. Squid Game is missing a few of the basic elements of the BR/HG plot.

I enjoyed Alice in Borderland more than Squid Game. I felt it flowed better, all over in a day. I'm planning on watching Kingdom next followed by Midnight Mass.
Over on Display+, Only murders in the building with Steve Martin and Martin Short has been enjoyable.

Kingdom is strange.
It SHOULD be good... but it kinda isn't.

The MMA one , yeah?
Starts off so good.
First 2 seasons are great.
Last 2, kinda rushed.

Enjoyed it over all though.
The characters are pretty likeable.

Mainly Jay and Ryan.

Different Kingdom though I know the one you're talking about. Haven't seen it but I like Frank Grillo.

Yeah I can't comment on Alice in Borderland since I've not watched it through yet (only 2 eps in,) but it doesn't appear to be the same as Squid Game. Squid Game struck me as a redemption through trial story. AIB doesn't look to be that. At least not yet.

Looks interesting man, j drama usually gets drowned out by K dramas recently but Japanese stuff can be good too! Subarashi Yo!

Alice in borderland is great

I agree.
It has far more intrigue.
Squid game became almost cruel by the end and was quite predictable. I found Alice in Boarderland harder to predict and still don’t really know what is going on lol…

I've watched the first two seasons, it's a bit cringey at times but I enjoyed it for the most part.

It's pretty light-hearted for what the show's meant to be about lol. An easy watch.

Ive mentioned it before but literally 30mins ago I finished watching the finale of the 5 season series called "The Bureau" on SBS on Demand. The best programme I have ever watched. The writing was incredible. I was hooked from start to finish. French Espionage drama.

Ive mentioned it before but literally 30mins ago I finished watching the finale of the 5 season series called "The Bureau" on SBS on Demand. The best programme I have ever watched. The writing was incredible. I was hooked from start to finish. French Espionage drama.

Will check it out.

Cant recommend it highly enough. Twists and turns, another world but realistic
