If we won our last five I'd be so filthy all summer wondering why we waited so bloody long

Well you don’t have to worry about that, cos we won’t beat Penrith. I don’t think 2 wins and a poor for and against will be enough.

Ha, Welcome to the wests tigers where anything goes. Why we wait till the last 10 minutes to score 2 tries?
Why do we comeback from 16 down, instead of defending better in the first half?

Were one of the most unpredictable teams in the comp.

It would be vintage Wests tigers to win 5 in a row and come 9th lol. I don’t think that can happen though . “If we win , we’re in” that has to be the message right now .
because of the way the draw pans out , strangely , even though we are 13th , our destiny is in our own hands .

I never want to to hear " we win , were in " statement again
We used it twice already with last round games against the raiders and then again in 2019 against the sharks both games at Leichhardt

Both games end up the same result ,, heavy losses and finishing 9th

As I said in one of my previous posts.

If we win all 3 and make a charge to the finals, then I believe everything that had happened this year will all be washed over.

Although I could see Brooks kicking a gear the most if we got into the finals..

We will remember the games we shouldn’t have lost ( Rabbitohs in extra time, the cowboys 1st game, both warriors game). That’s 8 points and puts on 26. I hate being a tigers supporter lol.

I know we all want to play finals...its been a long drought, however, even though we have been angered by some of the losses this year, especially the Tommy memorial games,if we see the improvement of our young guns going forward and they really put in for the next 3 games, that signals to me that we have a superb platform to work from in the off season and we could have an excellent start to 2022..
AJ,DL,hopefully recover well from injuries and the other guys put together what they have learnt and achieved this year, the squad will be awesome and gives me great hope that the club finally has faced the faults it has had over many years...

Realistically,if we did make the finals it would be a talking point, but in my opinion so would the beating this young team would cop off Storm,Panthers Souths etc...

I disagree. If we make finals , we would all be so buzzing the result would be irrelevant. It would also give young team a massive boost for next year.

Love the optimism.
Unlikely, imo.

Sharks are always a hard game for us.
Penrith? They won't be weakened like last time and they seem to hate us as much as we hate them?
Hopefully finish the year with a win against the doggys though.

As Klopp said: Turn doubters into believers.

It worked.

Should be Madge’s mantra.

We have Buckley’s chance of playing in finals this year. Starts with winning against the Sharks and it looks like we’re down a dummy half and a pig.
IMO this round Canberra have to lose as do the warriors. Either of these win ,we are gone, even if we win.

This is for the pessimists....

AND I KNOW the season is always for of 'what if' ......

The pathetic showing at Leichhardt V Cowboys after the passing of Tommy
The equally pathetic showing at Campbelltown V Titans for Tommy's tribute
The gutless loss to the Warriors a few weeks ago, beaten by 2

If we won those, we'd be on 24 points, outright 7th, and easily in the finals. I think that shows just how close we are. A bit more consistency and we have them games. I dont think we are as far away as some suggest.

And again, yes I know, seasons are always full of 'what if' moments......

Every team has a couple of what if games. Based on the quality and development of the roster - imo - we are in the mix with clubs that are of similar depth and quality. No where near the top 5 sides.

If we somehow beat Penrith again I would happily cop a 200-0 flogging from Melbourne in week 1 of the finals, it would be worth it.

Week at a time

“The forwards laid a good platform”

“We’ve just got to complete and kick to the corners”

What other cliches will help get us there??

Looking back if the 2 long range tries for Brooks vs Souths and Warriors go our way then we are on 22 points and in the 8 with a relatively good draw ahead. Dont see us making the finals but if we win 2 from 3 then it will be a season of so close. I think we actually have a lot of young players who will be better next yr and money to fill the spots we need to cover. I think our issues are easier to fix then a lot of other teams around us. Feeling confident about 2022

I'm not overly confident - Our attitude sucks. We only do something when we feel urgency. That could be vs top teams, late charge to the finals, start off the year with a win. Every year there is an area of concern with our complacency. Yes, most clubs experience that and with the 'ebbs and flows' you'd experience with such a young squad you would have to expect that. I can't see next year being any different but we will have to wait and see how that goes. The culture ingrained in this club is going to take a while to clean the stains left. There is light at the end of the tunnel, I just don't see it next year.
