Looking at our best 17 is very encouraging for prospects of the future, I'm not keen on Bryce Gibbs because he makes mistakes time and time again often at the worst possible time and to be honest he doesn't have the impact to win the battle of the forwards in each game. Also i dislike Daniel Fitzhenry not because he's terrible but because he is actually terrible (except for the knights game). Barring injury and personal opinion this is my best 17 for the team:
\. Wade Mckinnon (improving as a support player, will learn to blend with the team very well)
\. Lote Tuqiri (who can complain about Lote?)
\. Blake Ashyford (needs to improves of providing service for his winger esp. offloads, tip ons and getting onto the outside shoulder of his man although he is very good defensively to be honest i'd put him up against Inglis anyday)
\. Chris Lawerence (NSW material)
\. Taniela Tuiaki (TNT. save under the high ball, runs hard like a forward and is overall a machine)
\. Benji Marshall (Better as a ball runner attacking the line with long service from Farah or Moltzen with Lote and Lawrence outside him, kicking game needs to be more consistent)
\. Tim Moltzen (Good at everything, needs to make sure his speed is intact when he returns)
\. Keith Galloway (BIG RED is great, could run a bit harder at the line and be more prompt onto the ball but is still very good)
\. Robbie Farah (Where would we be without him? He's the brains of our on-field organisation and is brilliant knows when and how to do everything correctly)
\. Todd Payten (No complaints here about the veteran, knows how to play prop so why not?)
\. Simon Dwyer (Is young but has the world'd best 2nd rower on the other side of the field to mentor him, hits the holes hard and will develop well)
\. Gareth Ellis (Hard-working and very solid, is a smart forward)
\. Chris Heighington (Is the Nathan Hindmarsh of the Tigers he knows how to do everything right, could use more size and ball skills)
\. Liam Fulton
\. Mark Flanagan
\. Andrew Fifita/Juniour Moors (Can't pick between the two they're both good, Fifita is more agressive but Moors is more no-nonesense and straight forward)
\. Beau Ryan (Would be good as an impact player to replace an injuried backrower, could replace Ashyford)
Any comments?
