Sue to dogs - Official

Don’t really see the sense in letting Sue go only to sign Latu. 6 of 1.

Unless Latu is way cheaper, then that makes sense, plus he probably hasn't had a stack of HIA's in his career

McQueen wants to leave on his own terms.
He’s currently digging a tunnel with a teaspoon and soiling himself in the garden - to escape Colditz (Concord) Castle.

He’s doing it the hard way then .
All he has to do is walk out the gate …
No one would know he’s missing !

Isn't Latu a swap for McQueen so I don't understand the negativity?.

Not negative at all, just trying to give Gunner a reason for the signing, he actually looked the goods at Penrith, the gold coast must not have suited him.

So thus far we have Sue, Grant, Kevin, MWZ leaving, McQueen possibly leaving anyone else ? Seems like a good clean out happening.

Tui is gone hopefully godinet/rochow follow

He has 4-5 good games a year and has as many HIA's as Lawrence.

We need to get bigger, stronger and more aggressive as a team. Having a pocket rocket like him who comes good a few times a year isn't enough. As long as we sign a hard running prop as his replacement.

We need to sign at least 3-4 hard running forwards. We have the workers. Need someone who can make an impact every week.

It has been obvious for a few years that players like Sue are not going to get you playing final football. He would be probably a very good footballer in a dominant team. but we need players who are going to play at a high standard nine games out of ten and not five out of ten

Not fussed… Been waiting too long on him

But I do wonder often if some of these middle tier NRL level players will only get so far with us and would go much better elsewhere.... We've seen a few

You are not going to resign him on his HIA problems alone that would be irresponsible from the club .There is an issue with the HIA problem that we all no to well … IMO he should retire better than being made to .

Very few I reckon. I can only think of Teo & Fifita. Oh and of course JAC, but don't get me started on that loss! Harrison was pretty good for Canberra for a short time, but faded out. Akoula, BMM, Ava, Suli, Cherrington, Sironen etc haven't really set the rugby league world on fire since leaving us.

McQueen was solid the other night.

He sure was.

Just wanted to throw in a thumbs up on the above - I have been pretty down on McQueen but he certainly looked better against the dogs - while I'm off topic, I thought Matulino had his best game as well.

Sauaso Sue cops an unwarranted amount of bagging on this forum.

He makes more metres per run than any other forward in our side and tackles as effectively as anyone except for Alex Twal.

Unlike some other forwards, he also adds some aggression and has a low error rate.

At 100+ games and years ahead of him, it's a smart signing for the Dogs and a sad day for us.

His value for money is terrible. For close on 500k he should be producing the numbers he's put out last month as an ongoing minimum. But he doesn't and for much of his current contract he's been closer to state cup level far too often. Has he turned the corner? Time will tell.
