SUNDAY GAMES LIVE IN 2015

Why not move Sunday Footy Show to pre game at 3, game at 4 live. That'd be a good arvo of footy.

Probably because channel 9 signed a lucrative contract with the makers of "Gilligan's island "or the makers of "Get smart " or whatever crap they put on before the footy to be aired at 3pm and they can't afford to break the contract ???

We (Qld ) get the intrust super cup games Sunday arvo in the lead up

Any reason the usual 2.00 pm game that Fox gets couldn't be the Ch 9 game and then Fox then has the 3.30 pm game live ??

An extra live game is one thing, still not being able to watch them in HD is another that should be addressed.

I agree … Plus the way they piss around with different s*** camera angles annoys the crap out if me !!!

And the whole commentary team needs a bloody clean out IMO .

Agree hobbo …Watching footy on Ch.9 is less than appealing :frowning:

Less than appealing is the polite way to word it .. I like to rant
But agreed Ch.9 are a circus act !

That'll be too hard for the executives to work out !

Just another idea while I'm at it

Why can't we play 16 games a season in country venues in Qld , NT, NSW ,PNG and NZ and then have them as the Friday night game to prevent the Broncos getting 20 Friday night games a year ??

live sunday afternoon game on nine has been talked about for years, everyone's been whinging about it but it will effectively become a night game mid winter. I always thought the sunday arvo game was a bit of an institution when played at 3pm.

on the topic of scheduling, they definitely need to do something about the friday night games. they should both be on live through 9 and gem.

Thats the pay off

Kick off will be moved to accomodate Channel 9

Less ''sunny Sunday arvos'' & more ''gloomy darkish twilite" games

That said the 5 minute ad breaks after tries currently really kill the momentum of watching the Sun Nite game….I usually tried to avoid the score, and IQ the game and FF thru the ads...not easy avoiding scores

With social media the way it is now, games cannot be shown on delay. It just doesn't work anymore.

Channel 9 will also not budge from the 4pm timeslot - they want the footy leading into their 6pm news.

It's now official…

CHANNEL NINE SET TO BRAODCAST LIVE SUNDAY FOOTBALL
NRL News
December 14, 2014Facebook0Twitter0
THE NRL, Channel Nine and Fox Sports have reached an agreement to broadcast Sunday afternoon matches live.
>
The deal means NRL fans will be treated to seven live matches per week with chief broadcaster Channel Nine showing two games live and Fox Sports showing seven.
>
“There is nothing better than watching games live and now it is going to become a prime time reality on Sundays,” NRL CEO Dave Smith said.
>
“Channel 9 will show Sunday games live throughout the season so fans will see every minute of the game as it happens.
>
“It means NRL games will be shown live on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday in 2015.”
>
In addition to the announcement, Smith revealed the schedule for the opening three Sunday fixtures of the year to be broadcast on Channel Nine.
>
The blockbuster matches include:
>
Round 1: Panthers v Bulldogs
>
Round 2: Rabbitohs v Roosters
>
Round 3: Rabbitohs v Tigers
>
“In other words fans will see some of the top teams of 2014, including the Premiers South Sydney, in blockbuster matches to kick off the Sunday coverage,” Smith said.
>
“We are scheduling big games that people want to watch on Sundays.
>
“So not only will we have a great offering on television but there will be better games for fans at the ground on Sunday afternoons – when so many families are able to attend.”
>
The complete 2015 draw will be released on Monday December 15.

Thought i heard that the Sunday foxtel game would be on Sunday night.

In the beginning of the season Yes…like last Year then it will revert back to 2pm...as the season rolls on...

They also have the Contract to continue to show 2 NYC games a weekend which would clash with the 9 game
