How are the sharks so bad? on paper they have a very good side including 2 international backrowers SOO 5/8th and 2 very promising props. Its gotta be the coaching becuase there is no reason for this team to perform so bad and the warriors are making them look like school boys at the moment

may have went off early, but reguardless off if they win they play a horrible brand of football, they looked 100 times better once cuthbertson aiton and kelley got on there, but we maybe watching 2 of the teams fighting it out for the spoon.

Anything can happen
Souths on paper look good too but on the park theyre crap
The Eels early last year were as poor as both
If you can put it together….it can hapen quick

Whao yeah …...them lowly rated Knights who are expected to finish bottom 4 by many 'experts'..

Are giving it to the stinking class act Storm...the Premiers.....who have very little in attack tonight...

Gotta love the closeness of the NRL....

Storm started to show a bit when Slater & Smith woke up.
After sitting through half of the terrible sharks/ worriers game this one is a high quality game of football.

All the positives you listed there are the forwards up front (Except Barrett), but you need the backs to put the points on the board and they got no one. There's not enough of a balance there which is the same problem that Sticky had at the Roosters before he left, they had a good forward pack, defended well but couldnt score any points.

In his entire coaching career, Stuart has made 4 finals series out of 8 seasons (3 for the Roosters, one for the Sharks) with early signs saying it'll be 4 from 9\. Take out those 3 finals series where he had Fittler and its one final series in 5 years with point scoring a problem every year.

knights should of won but didnt and they will do that many times this year they have scored 4 points in the first 2 games in the second halves combined that isnt good enough in todays modern game

The Storm are such a good side they don't need to play good looking football to win games early in the season.
They play what we consider ordinary but still get the 2 points.
They know what it takes to win a premiership and that is not being 100% on at the seasons start, they don't care about their attack at the moment because that will come with time and probably at the right end of the season, they will turn it on when they have to. They build a season and see the big picture.
You have to admire teams that can still win matches without necessarily playing well. If we play crap you can guarantee we don't win, we probably concede big points and ruin our for and against.

thats it, we were equal first in tries scored in the nrl last year (103) and we missed the finals so its obvious what the problem is

True. They won and probably the worlds greatest player(Inglis) hardly touched the ball. They are pacing themselves like they have the past 4 years.

but hold on what's the difference between 9th and making the 8 for the majority of teams in the NRL…

That's right.....consistancy

not really i think to make the top 4 you have to be to make the top 8 you dont have to be too consistant just hit form at the right time ie parramatta

Inglis is beginning to appear overrated. Or at least he comes across like one of those guys that just does something awesome once in a while in a huge game to keep the air of superiority everyone provides him with, but generally for Melbs he doesn't do much.

melbourne will be better when cronk comes back. newcastle had plenty of chances in the second half with alot of sets in the melbourne half but newcastle did take their chances.
