SuperBowl Halftime Entertainment

The NRL and AFL could learn a thing or two from the way the NFL do it couldn't they? they make the NRL and AFL look like drunk Kareoke. Granted its Madonna this year, which kind of sucks, but by jingo, by crikey they know how to do things in the states

oh yeah, and got the Pats

I dunno Underdog I would take Billy Idol only being able to scream out "I love my footy" than Madonna

I would even take Meatloaf butchering (excuse the pun  ) a song over Madonna Madonna seems closer now to something from "Priscilla" these days

Half time was good but i'm not a fan of the preso at the end with about 8 people crammed into a tiny stage in the shape of a football. You'd think they could do something better than that, it was so messy.

Half time entertainment is over-rated IMO. It's okay when you have 30 minutes or so to fill like the NFL but when it's 10-15 minutes like in the NRL does it really matter? Besides the NFL seem obsessed with booking acts way past their prime

Halftime in the regular and post season for the NFL is only 10-15 minutes, but for the Super Bowl they make it 30minutes.

For a game like rugby league, extending the half time break would have a negative effect on the players as they'd cool down too much, but for a game like American Football they can afford to do that to earn a few more bucks.

Best halfime in the SB thhey've had in recent history was the Rolling Stones- they tore it up & played live, not lip-sync.

Madonna was better than the Black Eyed Peas, who were better than Janet Jackson.

Half time entertainment is overrated. I don't see why the NRL should blow a major chunk of their budget getting in a major act when the game will sell out and rate through the roof regardless. Then again, I would probably lose my sh*t if LMFAO did the NRL grand final.

 Yep both fair points!

It was pretty impressive, wasn't it!

Just the set alone, wow!

When the NFL Super Bowl is charging $4000 for the worst seat in the house, $16000 for the best and $3 mill. for 30 seconds of advertising, theyre going to have the money to go what they want at half time.

If I had the money, ild love to go. Once in a lifetime experience for sure.

LFMAO….words can not express how much I hate those blokes. We can never compete with the NFL, they throw millions upon millions at their entertainment whereas we have some lame routine with barbeques...I've never gotten over how crap that was.
