**Australian psychics predict South Sydney v Wests Tigers NRL grand final**
By Nick Walshaw From: The Daily Telegraph March 12, 2010 12:00AM

The Daily Telegraph can today reveal **a group of** Australia's most respected psychics **is tipping the NRL grand final to be a surprise Sydney blockbuster between South Sydney and Wests Tigers.**

The mystic trio, who have predicted winners in everything from Melbourne Cups to Jeff Fenech fight nights, also believe North Queensland playmaker Johnathan Thurston will win the Dally M medal - but not before overcoming some "serious issues" in his personal life. "Everything I'm feeling suggests the Rabbitohs in 2010," says Simon Turnbull, head of the Australian Psychics Association. "It's all about their reincarnation. Their destiny. I look across all 16 teams and it's South Sydney winning the premiership."

Before you Burrow members get too far into Glory Glory, however, know that fellow clairvoyants Bridget Pluis and Francis Bevan have also cast an eye across the field, with both having strong feelings for another Sydney team in the Year of the Tiger. But being the Year of the Tiger?

"No, nothing to do with it," Bevan said. "But when you read out all those names to me, it's Wests that keeps jumping out. The Tigers logo, like a sticker you'd see on the back of a car … that's what I keep seeing."

Quizzed about the Year of the Tiger, Turnbull adds: "To me, what's significant is that it's an aggressive year - more wars occurring in years of the Tiger than any other.

"So the winning team, they'll be aggressive. Built around aggressive players. Again, I think it's why I'm feeling I'm with the Rabbitohs."

Both Turnbull and Pluis are tipping Thurston to win the Dally M medal while Bevan - who preferred Parramatta fullback Jarryd Hayne - offers a warning for the Queensland and Kangaroo superstar. "For Johnathan to go well, he'll first need to overcome a series of personal issues. That's what I see for him. Mention Jarryd, however, and I feel a very strong will ... this will be his year."

So can we expect to find all three ahead of us in a TAB queue somewhere this afternoon?

"No, and that's why you'll never find many rich psychics," Pluis laughs. "The moment we try and bring money into our decisions, everything gets muddled."

They are not Psychics , but just members of this forum that have having being reading, one , Alad insane's signature for the last 2 months. :astonished: Besides their crystal balls became cloudy at the end ,as they got the final outcome wrong.

I not only predicted a South Sydney Vs Wests Tigers Grand final, but predicted that it will be the Greatest Grand final ever played, after the game is locked up 18 All at full time.

It will go into the second period of extra time where the Wests Tigers will score from the South Sydney kick off and TnT will score a try in the corner after 5 Tigers players run a total of 105 metres…....maybe the screams of "Rabbit" Warren yelling down the mike, that you have just witnessed the greatest grand final ever played , with it just being decided by the greatest GF try ever ,had the psychios wires crossed regarding the winner

Well the tigers have never lost a grand final to souths! After the 1909 debacle it's believed a curse was put on the bunnieS so they'll never win another gf against the tigers. 1969 being a case in point!!

P.s 69 was the year of the tiger too

I like the sounds of that fergiefurr. Interesting that it was the year of the tiger also. Hmm I would certainly love to beat them in the gf. I can't help but have hatred towards them over the 1909 betrayal.

Another prediction site to check out - Interesting Grand Final prediction here too…...

Unfortunately, Wests were beaten by Souths in deciders in 1932 and 1950, and were runners up to Souths in 1918 and 1925 when there was no decider played. We did beat them once, in 1952.

And, we beat 'em at Lidcombe in 1976 (17-13) in what I reckon was one of the greatest ever home and away games. A packed Lidcombe, kids on the bike track, a see-sawing match and a victory to the home team.

I'm hanging out for the Round 10 clash at the SCG this year. It's gonna be huge. I hope a few more Tigers fans make the trek out there though as we seemed to be outnumbered last year - being so close to redfern and souths territory it's really a home game for their fans.

No it wasn't. 1962 and 1974 were. If you were joking (which you'll likely say you are now anyway) then I'm sorry.

fair enough mate, i thought i remember reading that it was, and that both balmain and richmond won the comp. must have been wrong!!

oh well, the curse part is definitely true though

balmain and souths played in four grand finals since 1909, and balmain won all of them!

1916
1924
1939
1969

its just a shame souths didnt beat canberra in 1989 :frowning:

They were supposed to have the interveiw with the Psychics the day before but the Psychics had to cancel because of unforseen circumstances

Going on last year's form, it's hard to see Souths' halves leading them all the way to a grand final.

Not even when theyve improved their pack?
Its pretty common knowledge that if the forwards go forward the halves usually shine.

Good call CT, I wished we were playing Souths today , we would have won by 20 + as well.

Just hope Sheens and co were watching this game today, so they enforce the WT team to go out & play a patient grinding game and keep the error rate down & focus on field position. At this time of year , that's what is called for.

Roosters played very well and deserved the win …Souths fans have been bought back to earth and so have I with my assessment of Souths....but they can still change it around..halves is a major problem still

Alad, it isn't just Souffs fans who believe the hype, you can clearly see in this thread even some people here are clueless to what they're watching.
What? Just because Souffs bought 2 forwards? Or is it because the Rorters were last years wooden spooners? Let me tell you this now Alad….i bet after todays upset shellacking, they will change their tune towards both these teams...
