Ray Hadley brought up Brian smiths involvement at the tigers at about 5.45 on Sunday at the end of his show. He said he is an aweful bloke with a self promotion agenda at who evers expense, he was the one that got his mate Denis Fitzgerald sacked at the eels. Ray went on to say how he continuously advised Denis to get rid of the white ant Brian smith but he didn't listen, the rest is history. Poor judgement from our soon to be sacked CEO hiring smith..

You reckon? I consider that a good argument for hiring Smith.

I am not saying Smith is the guy for us, but he has an outstanding coaching record and we could do a lot worse.

As for Gus being dumb; hilarious.

As far as I know, Brian Smith has never won a competition for all the years he has coached. In addition, the players end up revolting against his crazy way of doing things.

Oh come on. Ray Hadley is a goose. So now let's help this situation by all running with his opinion.

So now we have Johns, Tallis, Dean Richie, Danny Wieldler…what an A class list of journalists

Imagine losing support for Farah, then Mayer based on what the above have said.

Oh wait no need to imagine, just flick through any threads on our forum.

Gorden Tallis reveals what happened when Robbie Farah approached him after Dragons loss

July 28, 2014 1:23PM

GORDEN Tallis has opened up on his escalating feud with Robbie Farah, saying he copped a “three minute barrage” from the Tigers captain when he offered Farah the chance to set the record straight about his relationship with Mick Potter.

Sunday’s match between the Tigers and the Dragons was relegated to the sideshow of a stunning verbal battle between Farah and Tallis after the former Broncos firebrand revealed on Triple M in the pre-game that Farah had told him “to my face” that Potter can’t coach in a private conversation last year.

Farah said that was “completely false” in the post-match press conference but refused to clarify his relationship with Potter when asked about it directly.

“I don’t have to sit here and justify myself and Mick’s relationship,” was all Farah would say, and on Monday morning Tallis was back on Triple M comparing that response to Lance Armstrong’s Oprah confessional.

Asked was Farah deliberately talking around the truth, Tallis responded with: “A bit like Lance Armstrong.”

Fireworks erupted on the field after the game at ANZ Stadium on Sunday, with Farah confronting Tallis before storming off the ground.

A sideline eye for Triple M, Tallis was asked to recollect the almighty spray he copped from the Tigers star and revealed it had gone for about three minutes.

“I went up to him after the game and said, ‘here’s the mic, you can have your say mate’, cause it doesn’t worry me,” Tallis recalled.

“It was a three minute barrage, the boys in the Triple M studio were laughing about how he unloaded on me. And I just sat there and said ‘Robbie, you can have your say, it doesn’t worry me’.

“And then, he didn’t want to have his say, and in the press conference he does that again.”

Tallis said he didn’t regret letting Triple M listeners in on his private conversation with Farah because he felt he’d been backed into a corner by Farah’s manager, Sam Ayoub.

Tallis had said on radio last Friday night that player power was behind the push to get rid of Potter without exposing Farah, but claimed Ayoub had then tried to discredit him.

“Sam Ayoub, who’s Robbie Farah’s manager comes on and says what you alleged the other night — you know, trying to discredit me, saying I was telling lies.

“And I said ‘hold on mate — I don’t go on Chinese whispers’. He said ‘where are you hearing it from?’ and I said, ‘no, he told me to my face’.

“I didn’t want to say that, I didn’t want to put Robbie on the spot, but anyway, so I said it.”

Tallis, who played in a Dragons side captained by Potter when he first broke into first grade, admitted he was friends with the under-siege Tigers coach and felt he had to stick up for him.

“What happened was the rumours have been going around and I feel sorry for Michael Potter,” Tallis said.

“He can’t stick up for himself and hasn’t said anything because of his profile.

“Tim Sheens said the players got rid of him — this is the Australian coach mind you, the guy who took Canberra to all those grand finals — and it’s happening again, the player power at the club.”

And the Raging Bull wasn’t done there, finishing his Monday morning interview with Triple M’s Brisbane Grill team with another bombshell.

Earlier this season promising young Tigers fullback James Tedesco signed with the Raiders, only to renege on the deal before the June 30 deadline.

While it had already been revealed that Tedesco had confided in Farah before making that decision, on Monday morning Tallis revealed “Robbie Farah threatened to sack Sam Ayoub as his manager if Ayoub didn’t get James Tedesco” to renege on the deal with the Raiders.

Farah could be not happy with what was going on 6 months ago. There is nothing wrong with that. i could be not happy with my family at times. That is quite common. To take things out singly and out of context is not fair to Farah. Farah was not able to defend himself. I see nothing wrong with what farah was doing. Tallis is out to sell some stories and we had to pay for it. He is not that smart, just leave the Matty Johns jokers to thenselves. If you hang aroung with jokers, expect that you could turned out to be the clown, one day.

You are right; he hasn't won a grand final. But he has got his sides to a hell of a lot of them - that might give some indication of his abilities seeing as most coaches get none.

Hadley is a vendetta filled hack. My 4 year old daughter has greater credibility when it comes to rugby league rumours.

As much as id hate to see Potter punted, if Smith ever took over you'd never have to worry about the inmates running the asylum. The man is an absolute authoritarian of the highest order.

I'll forgive Robbie for most anything for that.

Smith treats the players like school kids. generally a lot of coach/player angst. Don't think I could take much more of that.

But he has made 4 gf's. Thats a lot more than the majority of coaches who have ever coached in the NRL. Some of you talk about him like he's Ricky Stuart for gods sake.

very true. i just don't want people crucifying me because they think i'm passing this on as gospel. For what it's worth i think it makes to much sense to not be at least close to the truth

dumb was probably not the best word to use in this context. maybe clueless ? phil gould has a very smart footy brain but can sometimes be reluctant to ditch the past and move on with modern interpretations and rules (rightly or wrongly) . Either way i think he would be someone who would have a pretty good idea of what is going on with this whole saga..

This is the problem with former players who develop a media career on the side of controversial - they start to leverage their knowledge and relationships to further their position, make more noise and involve themselves.

Too right for Farah to get into Tallis, the guy plays the line "I just tell it how it is", but picks and chooses his moments to create the most fuss.

Just stop getting involved with those bozos on the Matty Johns team, nothing happens if you deny them club access. Robbie should have learned last time when Johns called the team soft.

Very poor form the timing of the review.
Especially with Smith renowned for trouble.
Like getting Ennis to review Farrah's Origin performances.
