Take Out The Emotion (As Hard As It May Be)

I'm not pointing at anyone specifically, but sometimes I just wonder about the lack of intelligence by some on this forum.

Everyone's opinion is equal, so its nothing to do with that, but its the people who genuinely belief the bullshit that journalists write, or they bag someone because they have a shit haircut or whatever. Those people must be trolls, idiots, or have no idea what they are talking about.

There is certainly a change in culture and regardless of whether or not the coach is still here, or the CEo, or anyone else when we get better, the fact is the culture is changing and the free rides are finished and we are positioning ourselves as a club which will have more than a fragile foundation, which we've had for the past 20 years.

Got to agree. Also think there are some long term, active trolls on here.

Does anyone know the best way to just temporarily cut this team out of your life, because mentally, I can’t watch this team for a while. I was stressing about this game days before and once that Brooks field goal went dead, I kicked the life out of a bin and couldn’t speak to anyone for a good hour. I’m embarrassed to be a supporter but I’m more embarrassed of how I act watching my team play and how I act after. As I’m sure heaps on here do, I can’t not watch but I feel for a few weeks I need to. Any genuine tips would be appreciated

How anyone still gets emotional, I’ll never know. I haven’t been emotionally invested since Tedesco left. That broke me. The only reason I still watch them is out of habit. It’s a numb feeling though, which on nights like tonight, is very convenient.

There is only one simple fact in all this time under Madge that we need to analyse - are we a better football team. Have we progressed on the field. Have we grown, developed, are we playing better under him. The answer is clearly no. with or without emotion you can see this answer.

Mate I’ve been on this so called tigers bus since 1984… 2014- now has been difficult
I think it’s been the front office that’s disappointed me the most. Maybe it’s just social media craze that’s elevated it. But there are many other aspects also. Team unity and solidarity have in the last 5 years been tarnished with the continued player transfer windows.
Team selections have left me bewildered at times, but just improvements in certain area like defence has left me feel very empty. I would love to feel as though we could defend our line better than what we do. To me it comes down to defending beside someone you trust. Whether it be form or injury we haven’t been able to unify our team well enough In the last 5-7 years.
Next year will be very important to solidify our team and to start enjoying games again. I know it’s there, someone has to lead us out of the hole that we are in. I love in hope !!

I can strongly relate to all of this… it gets better , it just means that you love your team, that’s natural , it’s why we watch. Giving importance to something that doesn’t really truly benefit us is the essence of humanity. It’s the cause we have joined, the tribe we have chosen and when they triumph we feel the sense of achievement because we are a part of it, it’s team spirit and the fans are the soul of it… even though it hurts and feels embarrassing it just indicates the strength of your commitment and desire for achievement. Embrace it while you feel the strength to follow your passion.
