Tallis proves again what a grub he is

Gordon Tallis again proves what sort of grub he is by trying to set Thurston up with his interview after the game.

Thurston was trying not to say something he would regret and Tallis kept pushing him and trying to bait him into saying something stupid with his leading questions.

As said in another thread, Tallis probably had the producer in his ear barking at him to try and bait him. Tallis was just doing as he was told.

Totaly agree with you Irvine. Can't stand Tallis. He is a total buff head. How in hell did he get a job in the media? Same goes for Roach too.

That's typical media attitude. Aim to be sensationally dramatic even at the expense of the person's integrity Thurston was positively grieving and at his most vulnerable. If that is Tallis' level of ethics he has found his rightful job.

Well said …. He belongs in the sewers.

Even if the producer was in his ear he still chooses what kind of bloke he wants to be.

It puts the Farah stuff into more context.

Every player watching last night saw what Tallis really is.

Lol so if your boss told you to do something, you'd weigh the instruction up based on the kind of person you are? Right

Yes. It's called ethical behaviour.

Absolutely right Softlaw, Especially as Tallis has been bleating for months now about his integrity. Well he put his integrity in his back pocket with last nights interview . The grubbiest sports "interviews" that I've seen in a long while.
I've never liked Thurston at all , but he would have been excused for shoving the microphone where it should have been.
Amazing what some people will do for money!

Absolutely. I agree with softlaw

When I disagree I explain why and the broader implication of the situation.

Tallis could have explained that pushing for this one outburst would impact his ability to do his job in the future.

The only reason this thread exists and people can't stand him is cos of what he said about ''our wobbie''

Debate the reasons for stating the thread with Irvine, no one other than yourself cares about that.
The issue is the interview immediately after the game was over and the questions asked. Anyone with half a brain knows Tallis was doing his best trying to bait Thurston into some explosive response regarding the officials that would headline media stories for the weekend.
It actually speaks volumes about the man Thurston has become that he wouldn't provide the headline even when he was at his most vulnerable.
Tallis is all about how he won't bend for anyone and is his own man so surely if a producer was yelling the questions into his earpiece he could easily have refused to ask. You will actually find the majority of people do infact say no to their superiors if they are asked to do something they find unethical or offensive, it's called having a backbone.

I really think it is because of what Tallis said and which became the final nail leading to the demise of Tallis' "mate" Mick Potter. What Tallis said at that time was completely unethical.

Yes, Tallis certainly showed last night what kind of person he really is.
