Releasing two 19-20 year olds who at the start of this season were seen as the two best kids at the club, who were contracted till the end of next year is nuts and gives the club yet another black eye.

I think the talk of their being a midseason loan to the knights makes sense.. go play first grade the rest of the season and come back next year. Like Harry grant did with the tigers.

Soooo frustrating. Surely Benji can see that we were camped in their 20 for a large portion of the last quarter with a tiring Api lacking the fresh spark to help finish them off.

I hope that they are right about Haywood, as he will want to be good to be better than TDS.

Not sure if you’ve seen it - in the Arrive Alive Cup final that Galvin played in, Galvin went to put the ball down over the line and a player comes from behind and knocks the ball out of his hands. It was Jared Haywood playing up a year for Patrician Brothers Blacktown as their five-eighth. The year after he made Australian Schoolboys as a hooker. Honestly, I think he’s much better than TDS and by all accounts he loves WT and has no Galvin stench. To me he’s more like Api in how he can read markers and has a better short kicking game.

The whole June 30 rubbish is the reason that all of this can happen - managers are agitating and clubs are putting feelers out.

After tonight it's safe to say that Latu is by far the best of the 3.... His impact changed our attack and his defence was 100x better than mason... He reminds me a bit of Andrew Johns the way he can put on a tackle.

I don’t have one. But he seems like he’s gone. If Benji wants Api in 2027, I don’t see what use a loan will do for the rest of this year.

That’s not a total loss if that occurs.
Of course it means Api likely has to go full 80 every week.

That may turn out to be true in the long run, however it doesn’t do much for the club’s reputation atm.

He is good. His passing is elite & game IQ very good, just needs pre-seasons to develop his body and work on his defence.

We got lucky losing Galvin and having someone better (Latu) step in.

Haywood is a long way behind TDS.

Based on Benji’s comments about “needing his best players on the field” I’d say he’s gone. It’s another dumb decision.

He is only 32 years old and people are making out like his 40. Cameron Smioth played to he was 38/39 or something so Api has plenty left in the tank.

WE are currently a position where we need to win now not in 3 years, so Api is hands down the player we need calling the shots not TDS in the short term. We should not let a young kid dictate to us he should be starting over Api as he is also our Captain.

TDS doesn't want to wait his turn then bad luck and I do think he is a great player.

I don’t mean that it’s a Galvin we have to get him out of the club now. I mean if management his and the club have identified that if his future is elsewhere and it can benefit both club and player well why wait. If nothing happens out of it, I’m sure they won’t follow through with it.
