Came across well.

Good to see a coach qho actually finish his own sentences without going onto a completely different tangent from how he started the sentence.

Your vendetta against Potter is getting ridiculous now.

Just be honest - Taylor is not very well spoken. I couldn't care less as long as he gets his message across but a lot of mumbling and long pauses - same as what Potter was criticised for, was it not?

Anyway, very happy Taylor seems to have identified backrow and centre as a big weakness, good news.

Vendetta against a coach. Hmm. That would never happen would it.

If some of you people need to be stimulated, tune in to interviews conducted with Wayne Bennett, Jack Gibson, Warren Ryan et al. That will really get your heart racing.

I agree Col,he was speaking slowly because they were asking the hard questions,he was being measured in his response, making sure he didn't say the wrong thing.
Some of you people on here are deadset never happy,he probably wanted to say a whole lot more about Austin,Gavet,Sirro,Blocker and Skando but did the right thing in answering the questions without putting anyone down.
He also said we need backrow and centre strengthened,so he knows what we need going forward,he also mentioned Austin had signed for 2016/17 with raiders anyway and wanted out.
This was leaving us a little skinny in the halves, but he is aware and looking around,we don't have a huge amount of cap space, and there is not a lot around, but i bet he is working behind the scenes to fix this.

Mate I have rated Taylor for a long time. Used to wafch every video he did on the SMH each week. I rate his football mind as second to none.

My promotion of Taylor has zilch to do with my view that Potter, albeit a great bloke, is a poor coach.

The test for Taylor will be his relationship with the players. If he gets that right, we could do anything in thr next few years.

Im excited.

I must admit I never rated Potter, I never put the boot in but I didnt like how we played under him and IMO made a few clangers along the way…..Im still angry about him pulling Robbie off against Manly for a spell when the game was close.

Anyway,,,,,I alwas have rated Taylor both as a player and as a coach.....Im really lokking forward to where he takes us,and Im hoping for a bit more in the wa of plays and imagination,

Its not about not being happy

Its just giving ones honest opinion….the fact several had a similar somewhat negative appraisal on one interview says something.

Im not going to judge him on this and solely this, I dont think anyone will - early days....its all talk at the moment and no balls have been kicked but if youre happy well happy days to you

That's fair enough, time will tell. I have my reservations and will not get too excited.

Just listened to the interview and i liked how JT answered the questions put to him ( with out compromising the club) some of the questions weren't easy to answer at this early stage . Fingers crossed he'll make us a successful team.
