My take on what Taylor actually said is that he believes playing 80 minutes week in week out in the middle is a big ask both physically and mentally. Getting up for 3 origins a year is different to mentally doing it 26 weeks straight. Recent history suggests that Taylor is correct in thinking its too hard for Robbie, (probably more mentally than physically).

I reckon all 4 middle players will be interchanged (2 front rowers, hooker and lock) while the edge players will go the full 80.

Keep the middle as fresh as possible, win the ruck, and go to the edges at the right times. Fair call and worth a try IMO.

I agree that Taylor never said Robbie was small, but he's not one of the biggest hookers.

They're actually all about the same size, apart from a few outliers, little blokes like Nathan Friend and Matt Srama.

Same with most players at his weight one on one against someone the size of Kasiano or the like.
I would say at Farah's weight there would not be many better defenders.
Plus,the times he finds himself isolated is usually when other blokes aren't doing their job.
My thoughts the story is just a tit for tat puff piece from the coach aimed at Farah - meaning JT must have been unleashed from his media ban. :laughing:

True he doesn't miss many but ineffective tackles can still cause a lot of problems by allowing momentum up the middle. That's not on him though, he shouldn't be getting isolated in the middle of the field by big men with a head of steam up.

Farah ran a lot more out of dummy half last weekend(he was like an extra forward), he wasn't standing & passing from dummy half he was stepping out & going(he would have been close to topping the hit ups in the 1st 1/2) with the lock trailling (this is where I think Ballin will fit in).The second rowers played very wide so I would say they would play 80 mins. Just my opinion after 1 trial.

Can't put that blame on him Ink and i believe Taylor isn't either.
His salary is the main reason they tried to move him on.
Interchanging him for brief periods shouldn't be seen as a slight on his game, more so an opportunity to freshen up whilst fresh legs attack tired defenses.

Yeah JT is a genius.

Loz at least won an Oringin series against a great side.
