On Wests Tigers Forum you need to approach this in two directions.

1. Give us no chance to win.

THEN

2. Hammer the team, club and coaches for losing the game they had no chance of winning in the first place.

Kindly avoid using logic, math or context when using stats. Defeats, in any location, are caused by Campbelltown Stadium. Try and limit your memory to about 4 days back or so. Ignore any clear medium term signs of improvement. Ignore that our injury hit side plays better than our actual side did last season.

Most importantly. If we win, you change your tune and jump right back on the Bandwagon like it was never in doubt.

Can I just add, if we win it wasn’t because of how we played it was due to either one or both of the following:

3. The Kinghts played poorly, had injuries, had players sent off, etc.
4. The Ref handed us that game on a silver platter

NRL Late Mail Round 17: Alex Twal trains with rehab group, Samuela Fainu eyes early return

Wests Tigers forward Alex Twal still has plenty of boxes to tick despite being named to start for Sunday’s match against the Newcastle Knights.

Wests Tigers back-rower Samuela Fainu is on track for an early return after originally being ruled out until round 22.

Fainu is on track to potentially return next week against the Dragons after requiring foot surgery following the club’s 52-10 loss to the Sharks.

One of the Tigers’ stand outs for the year, Fainu’s recovery has tracked better than initially expected, providing the club with a huge boost for the back end of the year and their hopes of breaking their 15-year finals drought.

Fainu was seen at training on Wednesday commencing his running and change of direction work with the rehab group, which also included Alex Twal.

Initially named to start at lock this weekend against Newcastle, it’s understood Twal still needs to tick a few boxes before getting the green light to play.

Twal suffered a low grade MCL tear against Canterbury in round 13, only commencing running this weekend.

The 29-year-old has been mostly restricted to off-feet conditioning since the game last month, with the Tigers expected to give him every chance to prove his fitness for Sunday’s game against the Knights.

I would love to see our kicks kept low and hard and trilled towards the side line
