Tedesco and Sironen's Big League interview

This thread reminds me of a game at Leichhardt against manly. Monaghan was talking his price up to the detriment of the beagles and the media were loving it.
old mate next to me yelled out, without moving a single muscle other than his larynx and mouth, "Monaghan….you aren't worth two meat pies and a sausage roll!"

A classic moment, and quite apt if you look at our trophy cabinet.

To be honest the only bloke who should be talking it up is James Tedesco. He is a super star already.

All this tuff from Sironon, Moses and Brooks about Salary Caps, and so on and sob stories…

Give me a break, none of them have acheived anything except playing in a side down the bottom. They are talking as if they have just won the last 2 NRL Premierships.

Spot on Eddie. Teddy stayed for less and he's the only one at this moment who can command top money when his contract is up.

Brooks and Moses haven't agreed to $600k for another year. Is that figure correct? Or just media talking it up? Do they think they're worth that? They certainly haven't proven it. Yet. I sincerely hope they do as WT have basically put all eggs in one basket with these guys.

As for Sirro this has to be his year. We can't forever invest in potential

" I know some of us haven't lived up to the hype we had early on , myself included, but we just have to put our heads down, bums up and keep working hard.
" Hopefully we can turn it around ".

To be fair to Sirro… He does say this

It reminds me of one of Benji's old "I know I need to lift my game" quotes. He never did.

Well Benji was a Golden Boot and Grand Final winner. For however ordinary his form at the end of his time with us, his first few years, even devastated by injury, were amazeballs.
