With Fifita's contract being cancelled it could spell trouble for the tigers re signing Tedesco as The dogs will have a lot more money to throw at him now!!!

WOW - this has put a new slant on things - hope Fifita ties them up in court for a while. Should add another 50 odd pages to this saga.

why would he want to take them to court?? he is the one that wants to switch to Rugby. he wanted the termination

i know its another story to this saga but i was told yesterday that the dogs have already offered teddy a great wad of dollars at the end of last week that is apparently extremely tempting. word is he does not want to leave the tigers but the dogs offer is huge.

just wish the tigers could get in the ball park with their offer and get it done asap. teddy has to be one piece of the tigers ' spine ' over the next few years. 1,6,7 & 9 of teddy,moses,brooks and farah / cherrington should be the number one priority signings. along with young sirro and sue in the forwards the tigers really would be well and truly serious contenders.

I am trying to think of the last junior we really wanted to keep that we lost? Andrew Fifita mainly went as our then coach didn't rate him highly, yes he always had talent but he had a poor attitude at the time.

With the salary cap we should be in the position to pay the juniors we want to keep and I believe in the case of Brooks and Moses that is occurring, trust me some other clubs wanted both of them big time.

I think Tedesco would rather stay and play with the 2 players mentioned above plus Robbie rather than the nufties in those positions at the Dogs.

I'll sleep easy tonight knowing that Irvine. Although I am still waiting to buy a jersey so it does make me worried if we can't get the little things right maybe re-signing Teddy may be beyond them. At least Mayer has started moving …. So that has to be a good start !

I'm not having a go but what has Mayer done to make people dislike him? We haven't lost any player of note yet. He's definitely kicked marketing/membership packages up a gear…I mean we now have fan forums, evenings with coaches etc...Can't really blame him for on field performances ...yet.

The only real irk for me is the jersey recall and stock levels. Hopefully this gets sorted...I was planing on getting the anniversary one.

so if the dogs come and offer teddy 800k and we lose him, then off with mayer's head?

cant make such a black and white statement like that when there's so many other vairables. Mayer has said he will pay market price for teddy, and thats exactly what we should do. no point inflating prices and overpaying for him imo. we probably did that for gibbs, blair and lawrence and now our cap is hamstrung until the end of next year.
