Tedesco to the wing??

Fair dinkum you blokes are really making something out of NOTHIN.

His team had just been fairly comprehensively beaten, we all know how competetive he is, combined with him being crook as well apparently…..and you blokes want a song, dance & lightshow from him???

He did concede that WT are not one of the top teams this year and I would not expect a captain to say that before the season has even kicked off. If he is crook, tired or injured he should not be in the press conference. Better for him to say NOTHIN.

how some people have short memories , molzten was terrible last year he should not even get a mention in the same sentence as teddy, it would appear nothing has changed with the new coach, molzten seems to get a dream run again.

Nobody thinks Moltzen is a better fullback, its all about ensuring Tedesco isn't pushed too hard in his comeback. The worst thing we be to see him blast out of the gates and stuff his knee again.

if that means going with Moltzen at fullback for the first part of the season, I'm cool with that.

Geez i wish people would stop suggesting Moltzen at centre, he has none of the characteristics a good centre needs, he is niether a damaging runner, unless in open space. He is not capable of breaking a tackling through strength and cannot make a tackle, particularly on larger runners unless from behind.

Tedesco should be fullback, and moltzen should certainly not be playing centre, If anyone needs a move to the wing, its probably moltzen where he could use his only weapon, his speed and agility in broken play to get on the outside of people.

preferably not in the team at all but if in it wing would be my choice.

whats the difference is teddy plays nrl or state cup if his knee goes, would rather him in the top grade than that loser molzten.if teddy is not pushing himself then he does not deserve to get to 1st grade, hes had 3 runs back if hes not ready now he will never be no difference where he plays.

watched the press conference from the roosters game…..

Gee Farah's body language concerns me...slumped forward....looks like he doesn't want to be there...conceded we are not among the top sides this year...I just dont see any +ve energy coming from Robbie

Yes yes yes was thinking the same myself..also felt he was the same out on the field a bit 😕 😕

Of course there is a difference between 1st grade and NSW Cup, the intensity, the expectation and pressure to push your body harder and further.

Not to mention the quality of opposition who will be tackling, hitting and generally making your life hell for 80mins. Its a well worn path for returning players to ease back in through reggies.

Its not about Tedesco not wanting to push himself, its about ensuring he doesn't push too hard, too fast.

Look, if hes up to it pysically then I'm all for him going in ahead of Moltzen. But its certainly not about giving Moltzen another "dream run".

Not quite

He agreed they'd recruited well and had strike across the park, he expected them to be up there this year, and said "for us to compete against those top teams - we need to be better"

Do you not agree with this?
Do you think we are a top team?
We finshed 10th last year and had just been soundly beaten by the team that finished 13th. How could he call us a "top team" after that?

I think his words were spot on

I see no sense in starting a natural fullback, and a very good up and coming one at that - on the wing. Tedesco either starts at fullback, or pushes Moltzen out after a few games when the form line becomes a bit more apparent.

It's not about whether he's ready or not per se, it's about risk. it's more risky and puts more pressure on his knee to play nrl level. And the biggest reason is confidence, how many times have you been unable to walk for 6months, have to undergo GRUELLING rehab just to be able to bloody go for a jog. Don't think all he did was rest in bed till it healed up and then he can go off playing 80min games week in week out in the nrl.

What a waste . He offers so much more at fullback we need bigger wingers the ones on Friday night were ok running the ball but are way to short once other teams put bombs up .

Moltzen and miller are a joke sorry guys that's my opinion

I really think miller is not FG material at this stage. He tries but doesn't have speed or organisational dominance to be really effective. So he is not a ball runneing half back and he is not a general either. Not sure what his future is. trouble is that we don't have many options apart from a richly talented 18 year old.

Moltzen doesn't instill any confidence or flair. He is an opportunist who is great in broken play but your full back needs to be first of all solid and relaible but yet have flashes of brilliance to capitalise on opportunities. Teddy fits that bill.

he has done the rehab, had a scope done to shave some cartlidge and has been eased back since christmas.
if there has been no discomfort or swelling, then he is good to go.
how did he do his knee again?
at the start of a game simply stepping off his left.
nothing to do with the intensity of a 1st grade game.

you ease them back in reggies because of the mental barrier.
he has now played reggies and cooled down and come back on for first grade.
he looks fine mentally, considering the work he is doing.he isn't shying away from contact,he is leaping for attacking kicks and backing up and getting involved.signs of a player that is in good mental shape.
the total opposite to moltzens comeback.

if he isn't ready now, just when is the magic date for him to come back

Well if Farah doesn't want to be here he can leave.

One of the most common comlaints in past years has been “playing players out of position“

At only 19 odd. Keep him in his preferred position at full back .Play NSW cup if needed.

Id reckon if they play both Moltz and Tedescso, whch ever is named on the wing they will both share the role

Tedesco is our only fullback option…. if we had a better option id consider playing him on the wing.
Moltzen should wear 17 and only come on the pitch if we have an injury in a position he can cover for the rest of the game.

Is tim simona still at the club??? he has shown promise with every opportunity... surely he is a better option in the centres then the performances lawerence and ashford have been putting in over the last 12months,

Sometimes you have to protect someone from themselves …Teddy is the deal and seems to be pushing himself to the max! Maybe a bit of time in the lower grades to build up fitness and confidence(not that he needs any of that).Just take the pressure of for the start of the season ,Moltzen won't be fullback for long... the rise of Tedesco is just around the corner lets be patient!

I wish Blair had Tedesco's attitude, it would go a long way towards our forward pack achieving some respect.
