OFFICIAL Terrell May #296

Why are people wanting to cut his minutes? He doesn't look tired and is consistent throughout his play. I see no reason to stop his minutes, particularly when he wants to be out there anyway. I suppose the question is whether it's worth using two interchanges to take him on and off the field for only 5-10 minutes. He's just a high motor player and there's no reason not to use that. I think it's crazy to think about reducing his time.

The guy is just a machine; it's hard to conceive such an anomalous player...I've never seen a fitter front rower. Given the sustained physicality of his position it's just mind blowing.

I guess you could use the metaphor that if you were in a Grand Prix and your tyres were going to last the whole race, why would you pit?

But then, he isn't literally a machine... Is he? 🤔

I guess it's up to those who know best to keep him fresh, avoid burnout and look out for him career longevity wise.

I still can't believe the Roosters let him go.

There are times in games where we struggle to bend the line with ball in hand. Maybe May adds a bit more punch if he’s not so fatigued.

In saying that he’s doing outstanding and I’d rather we fix that through recruiting.

for a guy with an anomalous (word 4 day thank u ) motor id like him to have his fun n not worry about burning him out ,just replace him before motor is snuffed out. Sure he has a few good stats but meters per run are just average

Yep.....this is the benefit of him playing the long game
Two interchanges is a big benefit.
As long as the bench is used correctly

That was the greatest display of stamina, guts, durability, effort and resilience that I have ever seen from a prop forward.
To still be able to be the guy running to charge down after all that was just not human.
The best part was that it was all high quality stuff .
I love this man!
To do this I’d expect he’s in a good place mentally outside of football aswell

This is the biggest mystery ever in Rugby League.... the Roosters were so dumb. If the reason was really that he said footy wasn't first in a podcast, have a look at him! In fact whatever he did, I hope he did it twice because screw the Roosters.

What a buy. I could nitpick a little and say it would be great if he had a bit more drive in some tackles, but for that I think he'd need to be heavier and why change what's working so well.

Agree mate

Maybe Benji is onto something

Put family 1st and everything else is easier and less stress because you have your priorities right

I mean the reason I don't mind work is because of the end goal

Supporting my family and being able to enjoy life with them with what with provides

The metres are just about average, though when considered across so many minutes they become much more important. Adding very few missed tackles and a bunch of offloads amongst those minutes and average is left way behind, with things like his 80th minute charge down the cherry on top.

The best part is that he is encouraging and lifting Pole, who is going along in tandem through long stints, and Sione who probably won the match through his two fantastic runs in the ultimate set. Sharks killed us through broken play, but our middles won it at the end.

I just worry that that’s how Taumalolo used to play , and he’s absolutely busted at 31 . Still , he got 10 mil out of it , so I guess he’s not complaining.

Disclaimer: I absolutely love this guy. You can see the professionalism just oozing out of him.

Now, I still thing he can be so much better. He may not have the footwork of AFB/Pole, but he has the ticker to just run off the back fence. He is big and strong enough. He made 67 PCM in 27 runs yesterday. Per run, that average is quite low.

He kept getting pinged for holding players in the ruck, which was absolute BS twice. He walked off the mark once which was fair enough. He was holding players in the ruck BEFORE the ref called held. Once the ref called held, he let go of the defender, just when other defenders let go of him.

He's running quite upright and because of his frame, people can't seem to put him down, but unless he gets a quick PTB, he's not making much impact in that run.

Just wanna see him do 4 or 5 runs off the backfence like Royce Hunt. I know he can do it!
