So many other players defence they could and should be picking apart in all seriousness it's pathetic that it has resorted to publically looking for a negative against a player, who to date has had a cracking season, to justify his omission.
NRL journalism continues to sink to lowest of lows. I reckon they should all take the Bennett approach.

You’re possibly correct Red but I’m hoping that it pushes May to even greater heights for us.
Nobody likes rejection but it’s how you react to it. You can go sook in the corner, or you can say thanks for the constructive criticism and use it to your advantage.
If there are perceived weaknesses in his game then he now has the perfect opportunity to improve further.
And maybe, just maybe, his teammates may use it as a motivation as well ie he’s been busting a gut each week without recognition.(except API who is amazing).

Yep, and they’d both know the feeling, I reckon they’d be feeling it too right now.

Nathan the Lawnmower guy posted an interview with him today and he cleared it all up and for me is a NO story.
He excepts he made a mistake saying it but when you hear what happened it was just banter between mates and people need to lighten up.

Nutshell - He brought his QLD mate a NSW jersey so he could wear it if he was picked but as knew he wasn't in the team he said the comment.. It was a joke most of us would say to another mate.

Agree. All the coaches would want their players in an origin team, and I dare say a few of them would become lobbyists. Gould’s return to the dogs has them supplying a blues player. Pangai Junior should not have been selected imo.

A professional Blues camp would say you haven't made it this time, work in these things and we will keep you in consideration. The comments that have come out are unnecessary and poor. Daley saying he doesn't suit his coaching style, like WTF?

Looking forward to this arrogance crashing them. I find the expectation that someone choose a team based on the geographical area they live in very limited.

Unfortunately it does matter for the players and we don’t want to be seen as a team that ends representative careers. Not very helpful for recruiting or retaining players.

I think we’d have to have the lowest turnout of any club of the last 25 years. Maybe we beat out the Warriors, but that would be it. Our representation at Origin level has always been abysmal. If Luai was still at the Panthers, he’d be in the side. Would not even be a question. He came up with the series winning play last year and doesn’t even keep his place. Api last year got rorted deluxe and this year it’s May. We are Origin repellent.

Heard Daley on the radio earlier on this afternoon and it's looking more and more like Payne Haas may not play.

Daley said that Bellyache has told him that if that happens then Stefano is ready to take his place.

If that happens then I hope Stefano is exposed as a flop as he was in his last little cameo.

Gee it's hard as a Blues supporter to get behind Daley, Bellyache may as well have taken on the coaching position because Daley doesn't look to be in full control.
