This is the side of coaching that Benji has learned from Wayne Bennett imo - he allows the players to be themselves without trying to mould them into robots. This has worked brilliantly for Terrell and now Taylan - it gives them a sense of value/identity on and off the field.
Hope not. 1mill is to much. 900k I'm ok with for Tyrell.

Thought this was funny and also quite smart, makes a mockery of so many of the ex players and the media, takes the heat out of the PNG stuff too (at least for now).
We still haven't acheived anything but even with Luai's decision and Bula maybe going, there is clearly more than hot air fueling our rise.

Maybe we’re saving the Fainu’s announcement till after Bula announces he’s leaving. Always need a positive news story to counter a negative one.

Fair enough mate, personally I'd only swap him for Hass based on the average of all props over the last 18 months, and the position can earn 7 figures now. Losing him over a 100k would have been disappointing.
Agree. It's not ideal to have your best players coming off contract at the same time. Could f..k up the cap. Let's hope there are no get out clauses in the May contracts.
Yeah I get it but we have other upgrades we have to do as well. Sam Fainu,Maraksini etc.
Think 900k is great money for a prop.

Congratulations to the club and the May brothers. I don't care if we're paying overs, just make sure there is still enough for a 9. Feel confident we can lock in the Fainu brothers as well now. The faith and buy-in for Benji is legit

This. This is the sobering part. Who’s to say in a year or two something won’t emerge about a BS clause that they can leave after two years. Happened with Luai and Bula. If they have clauses, fine. But be up front. Don’t emphatically state a contract length, only to acknowledge that’s not the case down the line. Don’t mislead.
