In a stunning backflip, which comes a day after Tigers chairman Lee Hagipantelis was quoted on SEN Radio saying the club "decided to move in a different direction", the Tigers have had a sudden change of
heart.

Here's the thing now , if we do end up signing TPJ , how the hell does Lee go about welcoming TPJ to the club after opening his mouth and saying stuff like that.
Regardless if a player is good enough or not for your club , or whether you want him or not or what direction the club is going , should not be voiced out in public or media.
In this day and age tides turn pretty quickly. And you can have egg on your face before you know it.
Seriously , the guy (Lee) needs to sit in his office and worry about what he does best and leave the rest to do their job. Stay away from the media about the ins and outs of our club.

The same way Wayne Bennett did when he openly declared that he was not interested in a player a year or so back.

He said words to the effect .... we wanted the media off our backs so we could do the deal in private...

Tevita Pangai Jr is one of the many Broncos whose future is unclear with Brisbane undergoing a mass cleanout.

While there were rumours that TPJ could be headed to the Wests Tigers, club Chairman Lee Hagipantelis has confirmed that luring Tevita south is no longer part of the Tigers' plans.

In an interview with SEN 1170’s Breakfast with Vossy Hagipantelis opened up on the details of the discussions with Pangai Jnr.

“There were discussions between the club Tevita’s representatives,” the Chairman said.

“There was no formal offer.

“But there were discussions with respect to provisions of a contract.

“But there was no formal offer put on the table.”

“The club, as it does with all potential opportunities on the market, considered Tevita and decided to move in a different direction.

While Hagipantelis admits that Pangai Jr is a talented player, he confirmed that the Tigers won’t be making a move for the soon to be off contract forward.

“I didn't actually meet with him but I’m told he’s a great young fella, very impressive young fella

“And we know how good of a footballer he can be but the club just made a decision that that wasn’t the direction they wanted to move, so we didn’t.

Pangai Jr's future still remains up in the air, with the forward potentially seeing out his Brisbane contract until the end of the 2022 season.

Lee has learnt from the best ...the two David's from WHU ...they were forever giving their advice on who we should and shouldn't ...but doing it in the media

And then the oldest son was even worst ...leaking all the potential signings ....

They literally chased off that striker from Southampton from about 6 or 7 years ago who was kicking butt and taking names at the time ..might have been Ings ..maybe someone else
