I’m sorry but I’m old school.
Just watched half the Cowboys team having friendly banter with Bulldogs players after the game. They were chatting, laughing, patting each other on the back.
Trouble is they had just gone 1-5 for the season with their legend halfback under all sorts of pressure.
Makes me think: do they give a stuff?
In comparison, JT being interviewed, was gutted.
I think this is a real bad look. Fans live for their teams. It appears players couldn’t care less. That’s probably not true - but it looks that way.
Thoughts?

It is a bit of a joke I have to say. Thought the same thing. Depends how you look at it. At the end of the day its a game, not a funeral. In saying that, if I were coach I would be furious.

Sorry don't agree - on the field I will smash a bloke as hard as possible but when the whistle blows and the game is over I'd have a chat and a beer no matter what happened on the field. I go to work but will happily socialise with our competition as well.

It's called good sportsmanship and it is what we want from role models like our players should be.

Obviously the players care but thier is nothing you can do about it once the final whistle blows

Sportsmanship is shaking hands, having a beer etc, but standing around having a laugh after you have just lost your 5th game is hard to take. If you have any pride you would be disappointed, not brushing it off and having a giggle.

With the OP here…back in the day following Wests for Years a loss was felt by the fans and players alike..they would be just as filthy...

Now days it's all smiles and giggles except for a select few...very annoying for a fan that emotionally invests so much....

Hard to call. If you didn't shake hands and just stormed off, media would call you a bad sportsman and unliked by your peers.

Robbie Farah is a prime example of someone not taking losses well, Ricky Stuart another, and not known by reputation as well-liked people.

For many players straight after the game is the only time you can relax. There is often a sense of relief that you got through that one. Also an opportunity to chat with others experiencing the same thing. Once back in the sheds you start getting ready for next week.
