Little Fella had a day off school today as he was not feeling too crash hot and he had to come with my wife, my 4 year old daughter and I into the city for an appointment. On our way home we drove past Concord Oval and the boys were out training so we made our way in to watch training for a little while.
The boys were busy working hard but when they finished nearly every single player and Mick Potter said G'day to my daughter whilst the young fella was throwing the balls back over the fence for Luke Brooks.
James Tedesco, Adam Blair and a few of the lower grade fellas went out of their way to walk up for a quick hello to my shy daughter which made her day.
Meanwhile Luke Brooks went up and thanked my young bloke for collecting the balls and had a good chat to him which made his day, as Luke has become his favourite player after watching them smash the Rabbits on Friday night.
David Nofoaluma came up and introduced himself to us had a chat, posed for a photo and then thanked us for coming down to watch. Really nice bloke!
Finally Sue, Ava, Taupau and James Gavet were finishing an interview and some photos when they said gday to my kids. I asked James Gavet if we could take a photo with the kids as my daughter loves him and she calls him "Sexy as he knows it" due to his resemblance to Red Foo!
Great bunch of young blokes!

Thanks Fellas

Terrific story mate.
Good on the club and well done to the boys.

There seems to be a good, refreshing vibe around the club this year.

thats awesome, and thanks for sharing it here!

reminds me of a thread not long ago about which players you wouldn't want at the tigers, and points were made that the type of player you would want at the tigers, is actually in large part the type of person you want there.

great to read the tigers have great people there.

Good to hear mate and hope your young fella is feeling better. After watching Blake Austin's video with his junior team, it's refreshing to hear of other young players going out of their way to just to put a smile on kids faces. It's great to see so many young players with their heads screwed on and still taking time out to do small things like this. Having this good mix of older guys bringing through our young squad is great for the team culture on and off the field.
