The 2nd Half Hooker Change

Mbye: 1 six again, 2 not called forward passes and caused 2 Broncos trys. Slowest feed from dummy half ever. He is totally disinterested in in the Wests Tigers. He should never wear a Wests Tigers jumper again.

I get that he is a good utility player but in every position excluding maybe centre he is below average. On top of that we are paying him marquee dollars.

Did you see that miss tackle on flegler as well. I mean Laurie misses that tackle but Laurie does something as well.

Say what you like about Moses Mbye, but his service in the 2nd half was far superior to Liddles and our attack looked far more crisp in the 2nd half.

1st Half - 18-10 Loss (Liddle Hooker)
2nd Half - 32 - 6 Win (Mbye Hooker)

No It was not just Mbye, but the extra seconds that Mbye gave us from his service just gave us a bit more time to be a bit more crisp. I find with Liddle we start the play slow and it goes down from there.

Note: I am not an Mbye fan, but fair is fair.

For all the Mbye haters ....today showed exactly what Madge is trying to do with a talented bunch of young guys...if you have at least a little bit of NRL understanding the experience and knowledge shown by Tamou and Mbye was what won us the game...Tamou played really well today with his carries and leadership and Mbye was good at dh...
If you love AD as I do ,he started to show his hogging of the ball, once Mbye came on AD distributed the ball and gave the backs the opportunity to do something with it,this is why JTJ hasnt shown much so far...

Bag me out as much as you like its an open forum, but at least consider how much work Madge has to do to get this team playing as one as they did today...well done all round....

Tamou was good today and can be an effective part of a front row rotation.

He was trying to lead our defensive line, but after the first set he had to slow down because he was the only one moving up.

Mbye's defence in the 2nd half looked like someone had fed him a Rohypnol before kick off.

I wasnt talking about his defense today and over the season his defense was good as many have said...

Purely your opinion Mike...everyone has one, however Stirling who was one of the greatest players to play the game said Mbye had a very good game....

I'll judge Mbye based on the number on his back. He was good today as the utility.

I think he is unfairly maligned here usually, but I wouldn't give him a lot of the credit for the 2nd half performance.

Liddle should be pushing towards 80 minutes each week slowly. His defence in the first half was great.

Mbye has to be 14 each week, and move to lock if Liddle is playing good.

Of course it’s my opinion. I don’t always agree with Sterlo either. Sterlo is a Mitch Moses fan as well.

100% agree. His dummy half apssing was crisp fast and straight to the player. I would even go so far as to say that his entrance into the match was the turning point. Lidldle looked a little lethargic today. Perhaps his previously injured leg was troubling him.

I certainly agree with Tamou playing well but i disagree on MBye, once again he did very little imo

If the balls going right, Mbye cocks his left elbow... And vice versa... And he's halfway to standing upright.... I disagree with OP seems to be a personal thing... Liddle hasn't come on as I'd have hoped either... But he's a better 9 than MM fo sho

Tamou was good today and can be an effective part of a front row rotation.

He was trying to lead our defensive line, but after the first set he had to slow down because he was the only one moving up.

Mbye's defence in the 2nd half looked like someone had fed him a Rohypnol before kick off.

A rohypnol, a sera pax and some qualuudes, and that was after he declared he was buggered today and couldn’t care less bout the result…. He’s a poser, a bludger, a really slow pass from dummy half and my least ever respected West’s Tigers player since inception. Anybody that defends him is kidding themselves , and demonstrates very little league IQ!

The fact that we won is clouding people’s judgement, his service was horrible, he didn’t run once and he should have been taken off 10 mins earlier

I have always thought we need 2 hookers as Liddle is not an 80min player. Thought Moses played safe and did his job.
However my biggest issue with our hookers is that they do not run. There are times that they could get an easy 10-15m and get the defense on the backfoot but always look for the pass.
It is like they are coached not to run where as Liddle's best asset is his speed over the 20m.
Apart from our defense (which is still terrible), this is the other thing that bothers me with our style of play (and Nofo making 50m sideways).

Jake Simpkin >

Mbye is there cos his price tag.
He can't not play at the price he's costing us.

He's not impressive at all.

AD killed it at 6 and should remain there.

Brooks should be worried about Hastings...
He could steal that 7.

He is also an arm grabber in defence. Blokes make 15metres running at him

I thought he was good at 9 in second half great ball to Stefano at the end. Unfortunately people are going to hate him no matter what he does

A bit like the coach?

Mbye just lacks energy, awareness and the heart to win. Should be one of the players leading each week, giving his all to turn the club around.
