The Bryce Gibbs Appreciation Thread

I admit I wasnt a huge fan to mid season, but hes always been a great defensive prop, and now hes developed a great running game too.

The other props in the side really struggle to control the ruck like Gibbs and Payten have for us. Its going to be tough without him.

All the best Bryce really enjoyed the way you played your footy & gave your all, only said to a mate last night this could be costly when Gibbs went off as he does so much d in the middle.

All the best mate i really wished you could of been a 1 club man, you'll be missed.
I enjoyed watching you giving it all for your jersey.

Gibbsy, have had a lot of time for him since he started at the Wests Tigers, I hate seeing one of our juniors go, but on the positive side, many thanks to him for his guts, determination and contribution to our team and club.

Congratulations on a great career with the Wests Tigers Gibbs. Your a great character and will be sorely missed, as will all of our departing players.

I spoke with Bryce at the Sackville tonight. Unlike his peers he can handle his New and back a winner
He laughed when I told him that the Tigers lost because he went off injured.

This ^^
Good luck at the Sharkies, Bryce. you will be definitely missed at WT … :frowning:

The best defensive prop in the game.In every game this season,we had no go forward, and fragile defence, when he was off the field.

On the topic of leaving I can tell you that Bryce simply said, "others make that decision" and that Moltzen said none of us leaving want to go, but that's what happens

See ya Gibbo….you will be missed. Good luck from now on.

Also to Payts, Moltz, Macca, Flanno and Andrew F....thanks for the memories fellas.

Thanks for being such a terrific clubman, Bryce. I think your form over the last 2 years has been sensational. We missed your line speed in defence in a big way and I feel like others…..you don't get injured and we win the game. I hope you make a very speedy and complete recovery and enjoy much success at the Sharks. You have a lot to offer them. Very best wishes.

Tragedy on tragedy. First you get shopped to the Sharks, then you get injured today and we lose in your absence.

You deserved better, club legend. Hope the Sharks are paying you heaps and that the rest of your career goes well.

Yeah he must of been really injured on Friday night anyone see the footage of him climbing up the tunnel wall to get to the players enclosure? Seriously any player that has a leg injury (ankle in this case) and cant return to the field wouldnt be able to scale a wall. Something doesnt add up, I have never seen an injured player do that.

The ankle must of been busted with that effort, great way to go out. TX for the memories Gibbsy I wont forget that one

I heard it said, they were being cautious and were saving him for next week…..clearly an error in hindsight, but giving the circumstnaces, I can at least understand it.

I thought we were home.

Thanks Bryce ,

for the great service you gave to the Tigers I trust the rest of your career is injury free. You were a great club man, I will always think of you as a Wests Tiger.
