The Cambo Curse

There is something about cambo though. I remember we played the Broncos there and none of the kids could care less about our players, they only wanted to see Reece Walsh.
We may not have had the same profile of players back then...or maybe they had not yet really become Tigers players...i would argue Makasini, Turuva, Luai, Sam Fainu, Tyrell May. etc.. are now high up on the Kids fan favourites lists.

Hopefully we get the win this week. Never confident of a win, but I’m always really never confident when it’s Campbelltown given our record there. 100 games and only 39 wins since 2000, if the club wants to be a force in the area, that has to change.

Players are using the same terminolgy as Benji. We flushed that game and are focussed on this weekend! You know you have cracked the team when the team starts sounding like the coach. They have bought into what Benji is selling.
Definitely sounding like a more cohesive unit but I’m not a fan of the new “flush” terminology. I know what he’s trying to say, but those last two games are more valuable than just moving on from and forgetting, just because we won. The Warriors game was a good confidence boost that showed what was possible with the right attitude and resilience. The Parra game imo was nothing to rejoice over though, and I hope they’ve taken away a few lessons out of that one.

Not a fan either. I know that there is more to it than just flushing the game. They will have gone through the tape, identified lessons and take corrective action where necessary. Some potentially long term, others quick fixes. I'm sure this week there will be a focus on defending with one in the bin and some extra defensive work for out left edge to develop the connection.

main issue with Campbelltown area is as it has built up families have moved from other areas of Sydney to purchase houses etc and they have had ties to other teams e.g. dragons, dogs, souths etc whether that be from who they followed growing up etc.
So mum and dad folkow souths or dragons so I will follow souths or dragons type of thinking.
I believe that to be the biggest issue with Campbelltown and atmosphere.

As hard as they try they will never be able to replicate that leichardt atmosphere and feeling.

it does not mean the Tigers should not be able to win more games of football at Campbelltown then 2 out of last 17, that record is disgraceful for a home ground

Not like we were really winning anywhere else lol

We literally won 5 home games last year, 1 of which was at Suncorp.

2/3 at Leichardt (beat Sharks and Titans).
0/4 Campbo

We've just been all round rubbish in the past

I wonder why the Tigers find it so hard to win at Campbo. Is there less atmoshere and a less vocal crowd and therefore no 14th man effect? Anyway, I'm going to say that I expect Wests to win this Sunday, the reason being is that they have a different level of toughness and resilience this year. I am not confifent though, how can you be as a Tigers fan?

if you look at it historically since 2000
Campbelltown 100 games for 39 wins
leichardt 101 games for 57 wins

our Campbelltown record is awful

I mean, looking at some of the nuffies we've picked over the last few years it would be hard to argue with those kids' judgement.

If you count the trial game it was 3/4 at LO but yes you’re right 2/3 for regular season games there.

What are you trying to say, that Malakai Watene-Zelezniak didn't inspire a generation to pick up a football?
