The elephant in the room

Benji. There, I have said it. Time to consider his worth to this team. And let's not say "on just 1 game.." - he has not been the boy wonder for some years, now.

Been saying it for 5 years people are slowly catching on that all Benji is is a great touch footy player.

X 3.

Would love to resign Farah and let Marshall go and with the money freed up buy some big aggressive forwards.

We have enough talent to play 5/8 without a big ego and turn style defence.

There's no doubts he hasn't kicked on in the past 3 seasons. His form has just stayed at the same place. However statistically speaking, he's still one of the best in the league. His errors/decision making let him down and this is an area I assume he would've improved on in the past 3 season but hasn't. Still though, after all that, he's still one of the games best play makers. Is our expectation on him simply too much??

Not so sure i'd be letting him go. However if it came down to Benji or Robbie. Robbie stays hands down.

Easily the most over rated player in the game. Extremely skillful but just not a complete RL player. Shouldn't be mentioned in the same breath as Thurston or Lockyer or even Cronk but he is because his mug is on the TV with his buddies who are judges of the game but can't tell the truth. They sugar coat their comments about him by saying " I think your form hasn't been what it has been in previous years and you'll be the first to admit that" and he replies with the same old answer of "yeah it hasn't but I've been working on my game in the offseason training hard I feel I've got a lot of improvement left in me and you haven't seen the best of me yet" Then the next day in the paper you read the headline "Benji says best is yet to come"
But we all know it hasn't and won't, change the record Benji.

He's under too much pressure…. Wen prince was steerin him round he was devistating cause he had room to move, wasnt kicking or making all the decisions and wasnt being handed the ball EVERY SINGLE PLAY to pull out some magic. The team doesn't perform and just expect him to save the day... Last night was the 2nd worst game I've witnessed. Only the 52-4 or wat ever it was a few yrs back v sths @ scg was more shameful. Based on that performance there shod be MANY players on notice, potter's got his work cut out for him.

Been saying for a while now he'd be better served in the centres.

Pressure please!!!!! Stop making excuses for him, every player is under pressure every half is under pressure why is he under more than anyone else? No one expects him to perform miracles in fact its quite the opposite. Name one other player that consistently chooses wrong options and kicks worse than him, even if you can name one he'd be on half the money.
The most overpaid underferformed over rated player in the world hands down.

Only because he gets given and holds the ball the most of all players.

Leading try and line break assister in the competition in 2012\. Yep the guys done nothing.

Big deal his playing halfback all the ball goes to him, put me in the middle of the park and ill have those stats as well!!!!

What really gets to me is the stupid grubber kick toward the right corner post on the 3rd or 4th tackle.

BENJI, THAT HAS WORKED ONLY ONCE. STOP WASTING POSSESSION.

He's good against retreating defenses (remember parra - Cambo last year)

Retreating backfoot defenses are rare….well, opposition ones, ours is always retreating

Not sure for what side.
Defensively, centre would be a tough ask for Benji

That is one of the most idiotic posts I've read in a while.

Elephants in the Room - Braith Anasta Jacob Miller Tim Moltzen Chris Lawrence Blake Ayshford and Matt Utai are not producing consistent output. Benji? He's surrounded by these guys if they aren't connecting with him and vice versa maybe that's the real problem. I guess it's not rocket science - in 2005 we had a spine: Hodgo Marshall Prince and Farah - We currently have 50% of that 8 year old combination and have failed to develop and consolidate the spine to this date. Miller seems so unco - his kick to Uarte which ended up in an amazing length of the field try to the Knights (to Uarte) highlighted the lack of a kicking game plan.

Potter has submitted the same team from Monday night. I can only assume that he was so pissed off that he did so just to satisfy the NRL rule to submit teams by the Tuesday arvo deadline. I expect that team to be absolutley overhauled for the Penrith Game.

Tedesco
Noafo…etc
Rory Brien(replace Ayshford or Lawrence I don't care which one)
Lawrence
Korobeite
Marshall
Brooks or Anasta (Why not Anasta is not a Forward but he might just be the right guy to pick and choose the plays whilst Brooks would be an inspired selection but unfortunately would set back the Mighty U20's.)
Heighnington (sorry just kidding)
Fulton
Blair
MMasela
Galloway
Farah
Woods

Buchanan
Bell
Pettybourne
Bodene Tho.... - Nah I don't like him - too small - throw in an islander who is over 100kgs and at least 6ft 2 or 3 or 4 - and if we don't have someone (There is that guy who drops the ball a lot T N ? but just put him on to tackle...he can tackle right?)

That'll do me Mick but you're the coach andI'm just a disappointed fan.
