The Ennis media machine is in overdrive, now with the Herald

NSW Origin has always been a old boys club in many respects.

If you are good for having a drink with you are in.

The selection of an over the hill Buderus in his last few Origin years without Farah in the squad to learn the game at that level is a prime example of this.

It is more concerned with looking after your mates than winning games and that is the single biggest problem. This is a proble Stewart will not fix and this was made clear when his first guaranteed selection was Gidley

I dont know Why Robbie doesnt Just say

"I am the Man for the job for the Next few years. - I want this and its mine."

He is altogether too conciliatory on this matter.

Graham Murray, another 'grub' supporter:

"With regards to my other selections, I am a big fan of Robbie Farah at hooker but I think he is a hell of a lot better player for the Wests Tigers than he is at rep level. He is a bit like the Kiwi team – they need a month in camp to peak.

He takes time to get his confidence with those around him … but Origin is a bit different; you need to hit the ground running. Michael Ennis will get straight into it. If he gives away penalties I would be disappointed but if he niggles a bit that could be a good thing. Queensland will definitely talk about him."

Well Graham Murray you tosser If NSW did what they said they were going to do 3 years ago and pick the same players for say 2 complete Origin series in the 6,7 and 9 jerseys (barring injuries) You would not have to worry about reforming combinations every series . look at Qld Barring injury we pick virtually the same side year in year out Why Because you don't have time to form combinations and having a guy slightly out of form but knows the way the team plays is better than having a guy in form who will spend the week worrying about the style of football they play and worrying if they lose will he get picked for the next game .

It is so obvious the NSW Selectors have a "**problem**" with Farah.

He is by far the 2nd best hooker behind Smith in the NRL, but for some unexplained reason the NSW selectors headed by the biggest tool in the NRL - L.Daley hate Farah…Sticky will go with Ennis at 9 with Young on the bench. As Benji said last night, you fight fire with fire, attack with attack but the NSW selectors are tools so they will not pick Farah....I say one thing...go QLD!

Tim Sheens need to support Farah more in the media. I think Ricky would respect Sheens' view.

Good point…Sheens has been very quite over the selection of Farah...other coaches have been pushing their players but not Sheens...hmmm...

sshhh Happy… Dont give too much away!!!

C'mon Ricky... Pick Soward, Ennis & Beau Scott!!!

C'mon Watto its getting boring kicking there butts year in year out and not even a competitive series in sight . Maybe we will have to go back to the old days and any team playing outside of Qld is classed as NSW and we will have the Qld teams . Sorry Watto , what were you saying in the background . Oh yeah don't worry we would still kick your butts . :roll

i dont think that sheens, as a national coach, is in a position to publicly praise one players ability over anothers whether its robbie or any one else when it comes to soo sides. imo i think that ricky would prefer farah anyway, but we'll know on sunday night.

Let them pick the little grub from the dogs & we get beat again, he cost us the third game last year & then crapped his pants when the q.l.d players had a go @ him & he ran off all scared. The selectors will be to blame once again & if we happen to win one game they will say we are on our way back.

I think Chris Barrett is very talented. Difficult to write an entire article when you have a mouthful of Ennis' *self edit*.

Another thing that sums it up is that Trent Barrett is Stuart's assistant coach this year.
The same Trent Barrett that was made captain for game 3 last year despite the fact everyone knew he was going to retire.
And of course the same Trent Barrett that Stuart signed for the Sharks which I must admit was a great move…... :unamused:

Why hardman Ennis says 'count me in' to Origin
Chris Barrett
May 13, 2011
This No.9 loves Origin footy as the refs let the game - and the physicality - flow, writes Chris Barrett.
>
**Michael Ennis pines for the good ol' days - for free-flowing, rugged football when the whistle makes an appearance in a referee's mouth only on the most special of occasions. Which explains his love affair with State of Origin, an exclusive domain in the 21st-century game where penalties remain a rarity and a player who thrives on pushing the boundaries is considerably less accountable**.

What a joke - "pines for the good ol' days" - what would Blocker Roach, Terry Randall or Baby Faced Boyd have done to this guy.

Good point Senexx….if you were a niggler back then you had to be able to back your mouth up. Those blokes would have killed him.

And from James Phelps, describing The Grub's game against the Dragons on Friday night…

"Michael Ennis almost singlehandedly dragged the Dogs back into the match with a leader's knock. His niggle looked to frustrate the Dragons. He showed plenty of spark from dummy half".

This comes under the heading of "how to make me puke in 25 words or less".

Yet nothing gets said about Farah scoring our first try and then setting the 2nd one up.
We were ordinary but if it was Ennis that did that, then we would be reading more of that tripe like above ^^^
Has Ennis ever actually won a game of footy for his side?

The way the media goes on about Ennis he must have won plenty of games for the doggiessss. Once again the man built for origin will show his toughness this year and pumble the QLD pack into submission with his niggling!!!!!
