The Games Changed But We Have Not

I think somewhere along the way we have lost the plot. The game in 2012 is based on power and speed and we have neither.Barring Woods our forwards lack strength, power and aggression and our backs are slow and behind a pack that has no punch they are going nowhere.

Next year we have signed another pensioner,Anasta may add experience but he is not going to add to our grunt and their is not much speed in his legs also I doubt he will feature in the tackle count.

Till we get the right balance of experience and young fast hard big forwards we are going nowhere. People talk of all the good young kids coming through, they will go nowhere till they can play with a big fast aggressive forward pack.

I take my hat off to the dogs and the Rabbits, they recruited well and they made changes to their coaching ranks and demanded results

Top post. Defensively we are one of the worst teams and our go forward is non existent. The tactics from 2005 no longer work. Wake up sheens!!!

Our speed and intent off the A line are poor, our body shape and leg drive on contact are poor, our ability to push through the advantage line and therefore apply pressure to defences, is poor, our urgency in wanting to play the ball is poor.

I thought the Brohman said it best at halftime on the radion yesterday. "the tigers have a good forward pack, Heighinton, Fulton, Blair,Ellis , and Woods are all good players, but they don't have anybody to HURT you" . Its that simple, we need an enforcer. Opposition packs must lick their lips when they see they are playing us.

Another thing that would help immensely, would be to stop replacing players with out of position players!!! How many times do we have to try Farah at half? Like Marshall at half it has failed a thousand times. Why on earth would you want to play in the halves in Wests Tigers lower grades? Your almost guaranteed to never get a run in first grade.

Yes!

+ we don't run at the line in numbers, we don't support let alone hustle to keep position or to stay with the play 'just in case', instead we walk/take it easy and suck in the big ones at every single opportunity.

Better teams not only out-muscle us, their work ethic is much better and their off-the-ball work rate is much higher!

Matty johns wAs only stating the obvious. To be called SOFT was being polite
We would have to be weakest and slowest team in the comp.
We have no one with true strength besides
BMM and utai. Sheens is the problem as we fluked 2005\. What's his ratio since caching of winning and taking sides to the semis.

This is why we should have at least signed Mason for this year.
With him and BMM on the bench you would have 2 big guys who could tear teams apart coming on fresh.
The board obviously preferred to listen to a bunch of candy arses than worry about winning the competition.
