The Greatest Player Of All Time's Try

Not only has Hayne got the media hood winked he also apparently has the refs falling over each other as well - the try he scored would have been disallowed in any other game this year - and i'm not saying i agree with that but up until this game a defending player running in to another attacking player between himself and the man with the ball was an automatic penalty - obviously not when Hayne has the ball in his hand!

Nope. It was a try, and a very good one at that.

Yea - he ran in to him - so? that has been a penalty in every game this year - thats what has been up commentators noses from game 1 - so how come they change the rule in semi final.

Great try. Nothing wrong with it.

Did you see the falou one last night?

fair try. Would have been in pretty much any game this year, or in previous seasons. I can't believe there is even a thread about it. Either you hate Jarryd Hayne, or you're whinging for the sake of whinging.

Im sure the Dogs fans think its no try after the Idris/Soward incident earlier in the year.

In saying that, I believe it was a try, and I reckon thats how they should always rule it.

I think it was try too - i was just making the point that up to now it has been a penalty. The article was about the poor refereeing standards this year - and as for Jarrod Hayne - he is a great player but unfortunately the media have rated him as the greatest player ever -PLEASE!!!! - he is not even the best Parrra player ever!

The media always use hype to promote the game.

It was a very good try and the correct decision I think, but plenty like that have been knocked back in recent times. The game was decided by then but if that was the try to win the game there would have been plenty of people blowing up about the decision.

It was a great try from a great player, Damn that World cup did the best for him hopefully he can back this up next year after all the dust settles

The try looked alot like when Benji carved up the Sharks back in 05 with all those left foot steps… Hayne is an absolute freak there is no other word to describe him he is the best player in teh game at the moment and by teh way he is playing i dnt think there will be many teams who will be able to stop the eels

I was thinking that too, but Benji's looks a bit smoother where as Hayne's looks a bit more ragged I reckon

 Maxwell gave him a saloon passage…....openned up the hole beautifully....

Try.....correct ruling cant be obstruction when the player is just backing up....Fien took him out.....

Maxwell looked like he needed a change of undies while trying to get out of the way. He thought Hayne was going to run straight into him. Reminded me of Badgers NRL debut when Tallis knocked him on his backside after he scored a try.
