The "Head Clash"

Definately a premeditated action to take out nsw's only competant half.
They knew that there was no backup for Farah. He had to play the full 80.
They couldnt tire him out in game 2 so this time they bashed him out.
Thats ok if thats the way they allowed to play it, but in game 1 , after the sinbin we all thought the rough stuff was not allowed anymore. I guess its only the rough stuff from qld thats allowed, such as tates punch.
SOO is all about qld. They are feral about it. We all think they have 2 heads but the second one is just a massive chip on their shoulder about some percieved injustice from over 30 years ago.
Anyway enough ranting.
Robbie showed what a champion he is by being nsw's best player whilst concussed.

SOO is for the tough men. Robbie proved he is one of them. To bad his supporters are such pussies....

..oh and Shubert...are you seriously trying to compare NSW as a state to the Mighty Queensland? You need to travel more bud.

I don't think people are whinging about it - just commenting on it.
There's a difference between tough and dirty.
If Miles came in with his head it aint tough - it's a grub act.
Like I said before - it happened quickly so I suppose you would have to give him the benefit of the doubt.
P.S. Queensland are still whinging about NSW taking their players 30 years ago - when they didn't even have a decent competition.
P.P.S . Mighty Queensland is good for getting sunburnt but nothing else comes to mind at the moment. :smiley:

Deliberate, Yes! Premeditated No! The opportunity presented, Nate took it. A good wake up call to origin for the blues, who now present an equal team, but now have to bring in the dirt, biff, toughness and cheap shots.
 
Stryker I am a girl, and all QLD go on about all year is State of Origiin personally all i really care about are my TIGAAARS and making sure no dirty Queensland player hurts our captaiin - call me what you want but that is how i feel
 
No 11 also made a bit of a shot at Farah before then too, think Robbie took a good look at who it was at the time… Is twice a coincidence?

No… Nate was doing his job. Myles & Parker's main role was to put Farah on his arse as often as possible. Considering Robbie has been NSW most dangerous player in the series, none of you should be surprised this was part of Qld's game plan?
 
Exactly Watto. I fully expected it after his heroic defence in game 2\. They belted him a number of times and ran traffic at him to boot and he came back with 2 try assists. Very proud of his efforts under those conditions.
 
You guys should read my original post. Although, when I saw it again, it appeared to me that the tackle that ironed out Farah was deliberate I am talking about a lot (but not all) of the more recent "head clash" incidents. IMO some are deliberate and should be seen in the same light as other attacks to the head. If a shoulder charge gone wrong rates a penalty and report why not a head clash? This is the direction the League seems to be taking. This has nothing to do with Qld & NSW rivalry. :crazy
 
interestingly Hadley highlighted this on the footy show last night.
If it was deliberate and he has a history (im not saying it was) it is a very dirty act and should be dealt with harshly, you QLDers are unbelievable if Myles took out Farah like that whilst playing for the Titans you'd be calling for the death penalty.
 
IF it is deemed deliberate, than I agree. However if your aim is to take a player out of the game, then in my opinion, driving your head into his is a very risky and painful way of going about it. I would be surprised if it was a deliberate tactic. It could easily backfire and damage the defender just as much as the ball runner.

I feel it is poor technique rather than a calculated action.
 
Farah wasnt playing for the Tigers… Her deserves everything he gets when wearing that ugly Blues Jumper.

Its no different to when Benji puts on his Kiwi Frock... I hope we bash him too!!!

i actually hate the queenslanders that much, that i go for benji and the kiwis at the moment. It's better for international league if the kiwis win anyway.

The forehead is the hardest bone in the body. Way harder than the cheek or jaw. Thats why the head butt can be so dangerous. As for TW: rudeness forbids me from too much comment but I will say you should look up the word 'moderator' in the dictionary.

Not sure that I can agree that it is poor technique Stryker. Whilst Paul Kent may not be the best judge in the game, I think the video of the earlier tackle (about 1:10 into the video linked below) shows that this does appear to be a deliberate act. In the earlier tackle Nate Myles does not appear to be trying to drive in with his shoulder at all, just push with his head.
