The High Ball

Damn the Titans for now reminding the rest of the league just how spectacularly crap the Tigers are under the high ball. Here comes the rain….

Latu is out of his depth in FG and Moltzen for me lacks the courage you look for in a fullback, especially when coming back from a serious injury. Was always going to happen.

The best player to take bombs was wearing number 4\. Mitch Brown should have been the man to play fullback when we lost Wade.

well maybe a fullback was the best person to replace a fullback… even though i dont rate meaney at all....sprinters dont win stayers races ,, so pick your horses for courses mr sheens

Just watching the game in Honkers and I don't reckon that Zillman had control of the ball on the first try.

Your right yet the commentary team was a united try.
They said if Heighington scored so should Zillman. Capewell slapped the ball away from Rhino while Zillman lost it into Moltzen to regain it and never had control.

It's as if Sheens didn't see last weeks game against the Bunnies, but no, he's set on Moltzen being a fullback…...

latu, moltz and utai were pathetic under the high ball.

and the rule where you get rewarded for not knowing where the ball is and you knock it out is dumb.
titans should have got the ball back.it was utai mistake wasn't it.

probably the worst effort by a back 3 i have ever seen fielding kicks.
lucky not to have given up more points.

Moltz didnt miss one high kick in the Warm-Up… In fact he ran a few meters to actually catch them??!!!

I dont doubt that for a second….the guy has skill coming out his ears.

What he doesnt posess is the mindset that to make those same catches in a game you have to be prepared to be slammed in the process. It hurts! I wouldnt be a fullback for quids.

There were however two guys in the side last night who do have that mindset, are prepared to put their bodies on the line and make sure the catch is taken for their teammates.

It's a specialist position. You cant chuck just anybody in there and expect results - especially against a side that boasts one of the best exponents of the bomb in the comp.

Next week they have to deal with Locky, who puts up some of the hardest to take. Will be interesting to see who gets the job.

i don't thin we contested one bomb at all. from where i was sitting it appeared as though we all just stood there waiting for the ball to land on the ground!
