The Jungle ; 2010 Report

So… it began as an idea from myself and a friend (wt4lyf) to try and start up a supporter's group for our great club. So we got together with a few of our mates and some ideas and tried to make it happen... The 1st couple of rounds we werent really noticed, people thought we were a joke, but eventually we got our act together. It was the game against the Warriors at C'town when people really started to notice us, we got good TV time and we're very loud.

We started getting more people joining us from then on, and people kept joining as the season went on. We started to get more flags and got "The Jungle" banner made towards the end of the season thanks to ink. :righton: .
We started showing our true colours by the end, but by then it was too late to really do something.

So now its the off season.... We've already been getting some qoutes on banners & making more.... Some of us, have been going to sydney fc games & have been getting tips and ideas on how they managed to get so big.

So its going to be a pretty big off season for "The Jungle"... And we're going to be back bigger and better next season  ...

Just to remind everyone our seating arrangements are :
- SFS ; Bay 10
LO ; The Hill
C'town ; The Hill ( Leagues club end )...

...POWER TO THE JUNGLE....

fantastic work KingofKingz! I always thought we ought to show more support to our team, and it's great that a couple of blokes got of their backside to do it!!

I'm even thinking of downgrading the membership next year so I can join you fellas on the hill…

Great work mate!! Hope to see the jungle get bigger and better for our premiership year in 2011!

Glad I was there to see the humble beginnings of The Jungle. I am looking forward to seeing us grow. Well done mate, you have done really well.

Great iniative K ov K I particularly noticed the jungle at Leichhardt, can't miss you down that end of the field with the banner and flags. You were talking about ideas, did you see the giant banner the red v mob had at the GF it must have been about 10 metres long, they had it behind the posts and it couldn't be missed. Just an idea though I'm sure you and your team will have plenty of your own.

Mate we are thinking about that…. we're gonna try and get some qoutes... but its gonna be pretty expensive..

Not really….....I suppose I was more interested in the footy than scouring the crowd for 12 kids trying to get their heads on tv by holding up a sign thats has some witty retort on it.

Apologies,in the future I will look harder.

PS....I dont mean to disparage supprort of the club which I am all for.

But,the peeps in these supprters clubs are usuallt straight out of Callan Park, and this runs true for nearly all the clubs, except the Sharkies one which looks quite fun and organised and has no banners I can recall.

Keep the Jungle going I say, the more noise, banners and flags the better for the atmosphere and I'm sure the players notice particularly when they run out at the beginning of the game and when they score points. I haven't heard of any misbehaving in the jungle it all looks to be good fun from my observations of those involved. I could also see the jungle at Campbelltown but not so easy at SFS, I'm sure its not from a lack of trying, keep up the good work.

C'mon simon,

credit where it's due, those Bungle kiddies did okay once the team started to win, but do seem to go missing when the chips are down..

Was a great feeling when Fulton pointed me out down in Canberra after they'd won the other week.

I will show 'em all how it's done again in 2011…

Keep up the good work my little Bungle-ites!! :sign:

P.S. See you back in lockdown at Rozelle psychiatric ward 12 at sunset simonthetiger.

How can you protest? I've seen you sipping those Lilyfield Rectangle lattes at games!
